Labor Day celebration, as ours was done observing ghosts.

in #fundition5 years ago

As the 133rd International Labor Day was being celebrated on May 1st, 2019, we remained trapped by ghosts towns in the English speaking regions of Cameroon as the crisis get worsened day in and out. Most employees in this part of the world had lost their jobs and are now internally displaced persons with little or nothing to feed on, lack of finances to support their activities.

As the government of Cameroon continue to play her hide and seek game which she knows best, ignoring all recommendations given her by the international community and rights groups, the international community is not exerting enough pressure on him, reason why the military continue its violation of human rights. Prices of basic commodities have for some time now witnessed a steady increase, and families are thus unable to afford talk less of leaving your region to another.

As the advocacy for better working conditions, better salaries, employee's benefits, working hours the world over, the suffering masses in Cameroon should also be considered. Other regions in the country respected the call and as such witnessed great celebrations although good working conditions in this part of the world favor only a privileged few.

I know that with your support, we can create reasonable impacts on the internally displaced persons in Cameroon due to the on-going crisis still rocking the North West and South West Regions of Cameroon severely. We all need your support in any way possible.
Thanks for the support.

It's incredible the amount of mess that we Europeans made in Africa, so many centuries ago... and the repercussions of it are still very present nowadays. 😕

Congratulations on being featured by @stever82 in an entry for the Pay It Forward Contest

Really sir, but if only they could be courageous enough to make things right, killings and human destruction will be adverted. There is no harm in really saying to the offended person that i really messed up, sorry i want to have the situation corrected the way it was supposed to be.
It is true that our yesterday will always remind us of our deeds whether good or bad but if not corrected our present will likely be in the same way and like wise our future. We are just asking the UK government to correct the mess they put us in 1961 so we can restore our Independence like wise the UN to respect its own charter of resolution 1604.

That has been our hope since Sir, this eventually the third year, people dying in their numbers, houses burnt and some villages completely razed down by military. Self determination is a basic human right so i do not see any reason why some think that people are suppose to live in fear and perpetual bondage.

Let's pray for the new hope and light. An world where no control and no restriction just love and brotherhood. Stay blessed and stay strong.

Yeah hopefully Sir, thanks for the encouragement and support. We pray earnestly for that.

Welcome and have a blessed time ahead.

I hope that things start to get better for your country. I have featured the post in the Pay it Forward Contest

Thanks very much, that has been our prayer.

Very enlightening post. I wish this was something I could understand. I don't think I can ever understand why anyone thinks that not paying a living wage, poor working condition, child labor. I understand families do what they can to survive, I just don't understand how callous anyone could be to provide such horrendous conditions.

Thanks very much for the contribution and support as well. All the same some people if unchecked can still go along way to have people work under mean conditions, with mean salaries.

You are very welcome. The best that some of us can do is inform others. We need to wake ourselves up from the 'out of sight out of mind' mentality. Like many I don't watch the news, but I try to stay informed.

Of that is really true, horrible things have been happening around the globe, and especially in my country, it is not a crime that we first existed as English people in this part of the country, but i am glad and pray things work out well as the UN Security council is has been convened for the 13/05/2019. so for the first time with top of agenda being the crisis in Cameroon. we only pray, thanks for the support.
