STEEMIT FRUITS AND VEGGIES MONDAY COMPETITION 🍒 🍌🍑🌿🍍🍓
As everyone knows a proper breakfast is a good start into a successful day and also very important for our health. Depending on how much time I have in the morning my breakfast can look very different. This is definitely a version for my day of. On common workday I am always in a hurry in the morning and even when I take my time to eat well I don't invest so much effort into the visual appearance ... But today is my day of. Nothing is better than sleeping in a little bit, starting with a small yoga session followed by a beautiful breakfast bowl.
This are the main ingredients I used:
- A cup of yield oats (a good source of carbs and fiber, including the powerful fiber beta-glucan, Manganese, Phosphorus, Magnesium, Copper, Iron - which is very important for me, Zinc, Folate, Thiamin, Vitamin B5)
- Two tablespoons of wheat bran (contains a lot of insoluble fibre which is most strongly associated as being effective in maintaining bowel regularity)
- One Tablespoo of poppy seeds (source of B-complex vitamins such as thiamin, pantothenic acid, pyridoxine, riboflavin, niacin, and folic acid)
Here are the few steps of my breakfast preparation:
I put the dry ingredients into a little pot, added a dash of salt (just a dash but most important for the taste!) half a teaspoon of Garam Masala (I love the taste not only in my Chai) and about two cups of water, brought it to boil and let it simmer on very low heat for about ten minutes. Stired occasionally.
For a little bit of sweetness I cut two small ripe bananas in slices. The banana also adds a fair amount of fiber as well as several antioxidants and Potassium, Vitamin B6, Vitamin C, Magnesium, Copper and Manganese.
I stirred the banana into the oats.
I cut some fruits I had on hand into bite sized pieces. There is persimon, kiwi, blood orange and lantern fruits. A combination of colors that nourishes the eyes visually already. 👀
I filled the porridge into my bowl and arranged the fruits ... Done! Ready to dive in! 😋
Have a beautiful monday and a successful week my fellow steemians! ☀️
This looks, and undoubtedly tastes so wonderful !
Thanks to the two of you! 😁
Beautiful and highly nutritious creation Dear @pusteblume with a very exotic flavour. I am trying to imagine the taste, but I guess I must make it to truly know how delicious it is. Thank you so much for sharing it with us my Dear 🍒 🍌🍑🌿🍍🍓🍇

Congratulations @pusteblume! It was worth winning first prize!
Aww! Thank you so much! You are too kind!
Oh, that is so delicious looking and I already know how nutritious it is! I use the garam masala in Indian cooking, but wouldn't have thought of it for this! Thank you so much.
Have a wonderful week! Tip!

Thank you a lot for your kind words! What's also incredibly delicious and maybe more obvious is to add Chai Masala to the oats. It gives it a more sweet-spicy taste. Also try this and decide what you like more.
And thank you for the tip!
Never had spiced porridge like this before, I typically do overnight oats with chia, flax, macha and fresh berries like strawberries, raspberries and blueberrys. Well thats on my non Gym days. on Gym days its a big ass smoothie.
What is the garam masala like in the porridge? Might be worth a try!
Tip!
Thank you so much for your nice comment and your support! Most appreciated!
Those blood oranges look so good! Hope they are still in season when we go to Europe in April. Great brekkie to start the day!
Eww! I think it looks bad for blood orange season in April. 🤷🏼♀️ What a pity!
But probably the weather is better - or it can be better in April. Where are you going to?
Mainly Belgium. My best friend is giving birth and I am his godmother....can't wait to hold that little bundle of joy!
Oh! That's wonderful! I wish the mother all the best! Post some photos when the baby is there! ☺️
I sure will ;)
If that beautiful presentation doesn't make you want to shove your face in a bowl full of fruit, I don't know what will! That not only looks stunning, but I bet it tasted fantastic! So glad you got to enjoy the start to your day off. :)
Hehehe! I have "Kopfkino" now. (a perfect german word that describes precisely what happens in your head when someone is telling something and you imagination runs wild ... ) Face ↘️ Bowl 😆
Haha! I can tell my German friend I learned a new word! 🤣
Wow that looks so yummy! I love persimmons! I hadn't thought to add garam masala to my oats in the morning before; I will have to give it a try.
Me neither! But I often used to add a dash o cinnamon to my oats until the day the jar with the cinnamon was empty ... I thought of the Garam Masala I always have and a new love was born.
That is why I love cooking - the unexpected gems we come up with! ;)
So true!
looks good!!!! and of course this is a very nutritious breakfast!
Right! Thank you! 🤗
My breakfast usually consists of a banana or two and a cup of coffee, even on those days when I am off 😁 Beautiful bowl of fruits, @pusteblume! Does it fill you up?
Sure. It's not really visible in the photos, maybe because of the perspective - I don't know - but there were a big amount of porridge under the fruits as well - aaand something left in the pot. Not anymore! 😜
Actually I need a lot of food to survive! 😆
Haha, I am at the opposite pole - I can easily surive a day without food :D
