A basket seems so mundane.
Neutral in color, most boring, most plain.
Symbolic in nature
Sturdy and wide
A basket will endure
A basket will not hide
Protector of many things
A basket does not falter
Defender of tranquility
A basket never tries to alter
For me, baskets are a visually symbolic thing that could be used to describe my life, in a nutshell. A basket goes about its life storing things, protecting things from the elements, keeping one’s life in order. A basket makes things simpler, easy to find.
Most of us wouldn’t think twice about a basket
……….what it’s made of?
………..what color is it?
……..what are we using it for?
..........who cares?
Yes, a basket is a mundane thing that never gets a second thought, yet is entrusted to do many things. A basket can be physical, sure, but can also be used in sports or temporary things like shopping. A basket is a thing or place that collects or gathers multiple other things into a nice and tidy space.

For me, a basket organizes things into an order of some sort.
I’d like to think that I’m good at organizing things and presenting them in easily digestible chunks. Some are good, some are bad, but I try my best to be that sturdy rock one can depend on.
