I gather that most of those close friends won't understand and probably don't want to take the time to understand. I mean, one would have to look at him/herself as well. This can be very painful. Easier to bush it off and say, "You are crazy."
Well I always hope people who suffer from PTSD gets help from people who genuinely care because most of the time, deep inside the core, they are really nice people.
