The Earth Vs Mr Neil (5 Minute Freewrite)
Prompt: Cracker
It was a cracker, I'm talking about the freewrite of Mr Neil on freewrite 101 (so I'm told). It is the author’s favourite own freewrite. It nearly didn't happen. It was a result of a previous story that found its way trapped in a dead end street.
A different story arose, people laughed and everyone seemed happy. It was a cracker (so I'm told).
However, there is still a freewrite community who were getting concerned about the antics of Mr Neil. They did not want to be put in more peril.
A meeting is called.
“On day 100 Mr Neil but us in a situation of no hope, we were doomed to the fiery pit of hell. Thankfully, Snook rescued us in part 2. Then on freewrite 101, Mr Neil set 3 hard boiled eggs to come and destroy the freewrite.”
So what about freewrite 102?
“Mr Neil was painting the house.”
That's fair enough, it needed painting. However, because the music system was broken, the job was outsourced to a painting company, whilst Mr Neil enjoyed some time in Baguio City.
“So how do we stop Mr Neil from putting us in more peril?”
“We need to attack, show no mercy, we will create a grand army, in fact we’ll gather every earthling in the whole world, we’ll gather every weapon known to mankind. If Mr Neil has a button, we'll have a bigger button.”
Then arrives the biggest booming voice you'll ever hear.
“STOP!”
The silence is deafening.
“You are not the members of the freewrite. I know this, because the members of the freewrite are all kind souls, you would not be seeking to use any button.”
He continued. “Mr Neil was right. Evil does not appear as evil. He wanted to destroy the group, but only for the purpose of a story. The real freewrite group know this and have enjoyed being in peril. That group is not you.”
*You were the real enemy, and now you shall go. Goodbye. Please close the door behind you?”
“What door is that?” asked one of the group.
“That would be the door to Room 101. Have a nice day.”

It's crazy. I may wait until I have an idea, but staying true to the freewrite, the twists and conclusions are made up as I go along. Keeping it fun is the key.
