Oh my word! The prompt is Elephant.
The things that flash through my head.
Childhood visits to the zoo.
Elementary school reader and the poem/ short story something
about how the blind men all thought
the elephant was something it was not ...
Childcraft Encylopedia
Holding hands, by holding tails
The Grand Old Party and sour grapes
And how one feels in pregnancy.
And stories ...I never heard if true or tale ...
of elephants that rescued people
from a tsunami in 2000-something.
The little elephant that came to me from India
without its gold or ivory tusks
And then of course there's that elephant in the room ...
there's one in every room of my house. At least one.
Well it's time to address the elephant named fatigue.
Is there such a thing as a pink elephant?

Well this freewrite is quite tired and maybe it's prose but definitely not poetry. BUT I've actually posted several times this week and I'm most happy about that!

LOL ROTF Ty!! But then on the other hand ... these guys are probably part of the reason I have Never watched the movie all the way through.
True Story: We usually spent Sundays visiting with my grandparents and my dad's much extended family. Every Sunday night when Disney came on ... it was not unusual for me to start crying to leave ... By the time Gun Smoke came on, ... well we usually left by then.
I swear I'm pretty sure I have ptsd from it ;-) jk
