Oh, the blues. So many are singing the blues when steem goes down. We can hear them everywhere - crying, crying, crying. And running away.
Can we outrun the blues? So many try. Party hard. Still feeling sad? Party harder. Drink, drink, and drink the blues away. And it works. For that small window of time when the alcohol sets in and brings the happy feeling. But then, drink another one. the tears start rolling and so many sit. Staring into their glasses. Some crying on the outside, but so many crying on the inside. The Blues is such powerful music. It can't be heard. It must be felt. You hear the sound, the crooning or whaling and there is a part inside who understands. Which hears everything that isn't said. Ears are useless for that. they can't comprehend the pain, the longing, the desire for a different life.
And then, there are the ones who tell you to just smile. Think it and it will happen. You want to be done with the Blues? No problem. Just think a happy thought. And it works for sure - if you can think a happy thought. Sometimes, those thoughts are gone. All the way gone. Not perceivable. Not findable. Not thinkable.
The brain has lost them. Somewhere. We know they exist. Somewhere out there. And then, you wonder if the smiling faces which know the Secret are really having happy thoughts behind those eyes which don't seem to sparkle or if it is their lips saying words ears can hear but a heart can't feel.
