Awakening - Freewrite

Awakening
We promise. Join us!! You will experience an awakening of all your senses.
Your life will change.
Join us
It is not for the weak. You must be strong.
You must do everything we asked you to do.
Look, look at the sun. The sun is our master. Look. Glare. What do you see?
The heat, the warmth.
Of course! You are family. Our family. Leave it all behind.
Join us.
Awaken.
We promise an awakening. Your awakening. You will be one of the chosen ones. The one who can come with us.
We all will live in this house.
We all will work and keep to ourselves.
We will send all the money to our leader.
We will wait for the mothership.
When the time is right, we all will drink the tea of no remembrance.
Then, we, the chosen ones will enter the mothership
Leaving our bodies behind.
We will ascend to places others dream of.
The are for us to see and to explore.
We are the chosen ones
The ones awakened!

And sadly, all of this is a true story. I don’t know if it started with a flyer or with a meeting like so many of these cultish type events start.
I only know that 25 bodies were found in an expensive house, more an estate, in an expensive neighborhood. They all were dressed in black. They all laid in their beds. They all seemed to be happy to have left.
Later, it was said that all of them were between 20 and 30, had good jobs, were polite and kept to themselves.
On their computers, they found the explanation for this house full of dead people. They believed that the mothership was coming for them at a specific time and they had to leave their bodies to be able to go to galaxies far away.
