#SurinameSunday - An Option Made Reality [Wood Freewrite]

For this weekend's freewrite I’m changing things up and letting my creativity combine a couple of things together.

Yes, the 5 minute timer is still on, so let’s get straight to the point of how this came together:

A post by @tattoodjay called Sublime Sunday - Bridges
The Weekend Freewrite by @mariannewest, which I was reminded of by a post of @elizacheng
A concept I’ve had in my mind for a while now

So, @tattoodjay post was about an weekly theme called #SublimeSunday, initiated by @c0ff33a, in which he choose to highlight some bridges. One of the pictures made me think of a photo I shot at Ayoko Kazerne (Bosbivak) of a bridge made of wood. For those not familiar with Suriname, it remains the most forested country of the world, with over 90% of the country consisting of forest. That means wood is a big part of our country and plays an important role. This of course connected nicely with the free write prompt wood, which was on the list of prompt to use.

From this, another idea came to life. I had been thinking about posting #SurinameSunday posts on my Facebook page every Sunday, which I’m now planning to do on Steem as well.

That is a solid looking bridge for sure, and I really like the angle the photo is taken from.

I can't say I have heard of Suriname - but it's nice to know somewhere in the world still has a decent amount of forest - humans do so love chopping down trees without replacing them.

I think a tag based about trees, and more importantly sustainable use of them would be superb.

This bridge is actually built on an old railway. If you're able to zoom in you might be able to see the rails just outside of the wooden frame. The is a bigger story behind it, which unfortunately isn't such a great one. Neither is the reality behind what is currently happening with our forest. 😔

I think I used the wood tag because of the freewrite, but I do have a question about the tags. Can you still change them? I was always under the impression that you can only change posts until 15-20 minutes after being posted.
