Toilet Word
Two children playing with each other in the cubby house, until...
"Poo poo head!" yelled Jack.
"Mrs. V, he said a toilet word, and it's not a very nice word," Molly said to the teacher. Mrs. V told Molly, "You need to tell him that you don't like it and he's making you sad and upset."
"Poo poo head!" repeated Jack, then he stuck his tongue out at her.
Molly looked at Jack, and said, "You know, when you say that word, you're not being nice. You're not gonna be my friend anymore."
Molly then went to get the bike out from the shed. Jack followed her and asked, "Can you be my friend?" to which Molly replied, "Not until you start being nice then you can be my friend." Jack responded, "I'm gonna be nice. I'm sorry. I won't say the toilet word again." Molly then said, "All right. I forgive you."
One of the amazing things that children do so easily is that they are able to forgive and they do not hold grudges against anyone. Children have the 'innate' capacity to forgive someone else's mistakes even though they have been hurt and have been upset by the actions of others. They will forget those wrongs and will play with the other child who has hurt them. Unlike adults who will forget one's innumerable acts of kindness if they have been wronged by this person even just once.

Great post
Thank you, @jzeek.
Calling her a shit head would probably have been worse.
Haha! I'm glad that hasn't been said yet by any of the children in our centre.

Depending on the seriousness of the offense, it would be healthy for adults to also forgive AND forget. However, there are some misdeeds that can be forgiven but must never be forgotten, lest one allow it to happen again.
I completely agree with you. It's healthy for everyone to forgive and forget, but our eyes still need to be open and not be blind so that we won't be taken for a ride again by the same person who has done us wrong. Setting of boundaries with other people is crucial and healthy, too.
