Day 394: 5 Minute Freewrite: Sunday - Prompt: primary / Hosted @mariannewest
Here is my weekend 5 minute Freewrite entry hosted @mariannewest / Prompt - Primary
Primary school was a little daunting at first, as I had to attend a boarding school in Grahamstown. I was only seven years old! Getting to know a lot of girls at the same time, was quite a skill, that was learnt at a rate of knots!
We laughed, enjoyed midnight feasts, galas and sports together. So as you could imagine, we made friends, very quickly.
We even went home on an overnight train, which was the highlight of the term.
Who would have thought our primary objective, was to learn!
Thanks for reading :)

Waoh, you have an amazing primary school memories, a part of of mine was bullying and wasn't retentive so much.

We had some bullies but they were few and far between...never let them bully me 😁
so glad that you are writing with us. That was such a young age to have to leave home to go to school.
So young but you adapt. Was homesick quite often.
