If I Only Had A Drone, A Step I Wish To Take - Blockchain Coffee “Harbour Cruise”
It’s been a little while since I free wrote... well everything I do is a #freewrite with a little editing but what I mean is the following of a prompt 😅
I feel out of touch with my creative intuition lately having been just doing me, something easy. Creation is no joke, preparation, execution, self analysis, final touches.... its the reason I keep things free flow! Kinda my style raw yet I try to refine things enough to meet my own expectations in content I consume.
One thing I have been thinking about since nearly the beginning of my video creation is drone footage. I could take the easy way out and purchase the available footage of my local area but it doesn’t include me. This is where my desire to get a drone meets the next evolution in my content creation. Some of those drones have neat auto follow features so all those times I go for a harbour cruise along the Victoria Breakwater or through Esquimalt Lagoon I could simply capture my own custom footage as I go.
I have always had a fascination with drones before even getting into content creation. I was one of those RC car kids and would make any excuse I could to use mine and when electric helicopters became a thing I was all over it. Sadly I grew up and life has been in the way since drones as we know them today to hit mainstream and for me to fully explore my aging fascination in the newest evolution in RC awesomeness.
Now today I look at this as an investment not just a toy for fun but you can bet your bottom I’m gonna have a tone of fun! I did get a little $50 micro drone(battery toast now) and learned I can fly them fairly well thus eliminating my fear of destroying a $500 one with a good camera. As it sits now the longer I wait the better the deal I will receive on my investment into furthering my video creation. Not only is it an investment relative to my creation but it brings together my childhood interests into my new found therapeutic outlet in content creation.
This to me is more an investment in my therapeutic outlet then it is video creation though it is the vehicle to make the outlet possible. I say this because the interest in doing so extends back to my childhood. Back to the time when my soul purpose in life was searching for ways to enjoy my existence. The very thing I am searching for today.... and now find it through.... looking back and recognizing.... looking forward and realizing....
