Bittersweet

Bittersweet like tango and Chinese food.
Bittersweet like roses and life.
Roses with its sweet smell and astonishing beauty, and bitter with its painful thorns.

Chinese food just because of that fried chicken with sweet and chili sauce I love so much.

Life because it's better and sweet all the way through. It reminds me of my sister's marriage definition and that glass container three quarters filled with crap and on the top covered with the honey. Yeah, something like that. Maybe not quite, but also not too far away. Maybe it depends on how we see our glass: half full or half empty!

It's childbirth, bitter in its delivery pain and sweet in its life-bringing. It's your children as well. It's a pain with deep cleavage and a high mountain of misunderstandings, lack of understandings and unvoidable generational gaps which separates each parent and child, and the sweetest joy with every smile, hug and kiss they give you.

It's tango, the pain in its dangerous cruelty and uncertainty, and the sweet in its provocatively tempting and sparkling strength of passion.

A Croatian band Vatra (Fire) sings about that bittersweet taste in their "Tango" song too.
