Freewrite: mud-boiled hinds
We set up camp quite late, after trekking all day through the dense forest, with nowhere really suitable to stay and light a fire and try to relax, we needed to compromise. We pitched out tent in a little clearing between the pot plants and the pitcher plants.
Well, we needed some fire. After a while we managed to get some smouldering action, using some napalm to dry out the leaves so they were at least producing heat.
No water around, but plenty of wet dirt. We got the mud, and the suckling pig, and well, there weren't many options. We put the pig in the mud and set it in a saucepan. Looks like we're eating mud-boiled hinds tonight.
In the morning, Gg Kk was acting weird. He was too mad to keep going. Gg Kk went crazy and clicked – pew bam he said. The air is so thick you can't breathe, and I guess he just had too many lice in his brain to really keep going. Bug-soiled minds are too risky to keep around.
This is a five-minute freewrite based on the prompt hardboiled minds, however I didn't actually use that exact phrase.

Hahaha, nothing wrong with not using that exact phrase. A trick I often use myself. Great write.

No, I've never heard of it. Sounds fantastic – I'll give it a go next. We're currently watching a series called Upstart Crow, which is a ridiculous sitcom about Shakespeare. It's a weird combination – half of it is almost too silly, while the other half is almost too obscure and clever. It works.

Today I'm smoking the delirium from an ear infection, so maybe that explains it! To try yourself, stick your finger in the dirt and then in your ear!
