Thanksgiving Weekend in Canadastan: Things / People I am Thankful For. | E.1 - Mike Barton of BushcraftBartons / Bushcraft Bartons.

As an Off-Grid / Bushcraft / Homesteader type, I appreciate this guy right here even though we do not speak much.

This is Mike Barton. He is in the Province of Quebec in Eastern Canada.

Mike is a pretty well known personality in the YouTube / Outdoors / Bushcraft community and is a nice guy, above all else.

This Thanksgiving, I am thankful for Mike Barton of BushcraftBartons.

He quietly helped me out awhile back with something knowing I am hurt and in need.

He crossed the 108k subscriber mark for his channel the last few months. I had always wanted to honour him with this.

I tried to get some Bushcrafters together over a year ago, to all chip in so we could quietly get him something for a gift knowing the big 100k milestone was coming.

-- but to my surprise, a bunch of them all said no. It never sat right with me, some of the names involved and Mike is SO nice and honest and fair with everyone.

I guess this will have to do.

It comes from the hockey (ice hockey) side of life here -- since we have a global audience in the Steemit / CryptoCurrency markets -- I like to explain some things native to our land here.

Mike tries to live out biblical principles which I am acquainted with as a Christian - one of which is to not advertise all your good deeds, doing them as unto the Lord and keeping them quiet.

So I will not say much more but know that I am honoured to call him a friend and brother in the Lord, and thankful for the help.
