5 Reasons Why You Should Start Your Day With Fruit!!
Why would you start your day with fruit instead of bacon and eggs? You've come to the right place to find out!
It is very appealing, tasty, easy to prepare and fun to create wonderful works of food art with! Not to mention it is packed full of health benefits.
Easy to digest.
Fruit typically passes through us within an hour, as it is full of fibre. Our bodies need to expend very little energy to digest fruit compared to digesting a heavy meal consisting of animal protein with no fibre, or cooked grains and/or veggies.High in fibre, great for cleansing the GI tract.
As mentioned, fruit is high in fibre, which our bodies need to aid digestion. Most of us are carrying around 8-10lbs of fecal matter in our colon as we don't get enough fibre in our diet. Since fruit digests fast, because of it's fibre content, it will help push along other fecal matter that is sitting around, and it will pass through you in about an hour. The more you include fruit in your diet, the more you will push out and thus cleaning the GI tract, and cleansing our cells as we allow for toxins to be released.Full of glucose.
Every cell we are made of needs glucose to function. The brain itself runs exclusively on glucose. Instead of making your body convert fats and proteins into glucose, why not fill your body with the source itself so you can run efficiently and power through your day!Fruit is full of Vitamins and Antioxidants!
Fruit is packed full of antioxidants, which prevent and reverse the acidosis in the cells (damaged cells). Acidosis can manifest into cancer, tumors, acne, hair loss, weight gain, muscle and joint pains, organ problems/failure, the list goes on! By including fruit in the diet you are allowing the body to regenerate damaged cells with these vitamins.Fruit is hydrating!!
Do you ever wake up with a dry mouth and sore muscles? You feel like you need to drink a gallon of water immediately? Enjoy a large serving of fruit every morning and your problems will be solved. Fruit is typically 60-96% water depending on which fruit you choose, and this is the type of water your blood plasma is made out of, so it is perfectly designed for you, rather than tap water which is pumped full of chemicals like chlorine, fluoride, and more.
Types of meals you can make with just fruit:
Fruit salad:
Choose your favourite fruits, cut them up and mix them together in a bowl as you would a salad. Remember the fruit combining rules for easier digestion!
Fruit plate (as pictured above and below):
Pick a few of your favourite fruits and put them on a plate - all you need to do is enjoy. Simple!
Fruit smoothie:
Frozen and fresh bananas and some frozen or fresh fruit - blend it up and that is all!
Fruit Ice Cream:
Freeze bananas overnight, blend them in the morning. That simple. To the frozen bananas you can add anything to flavour it - other frozen fruit, vanilla extract, cacao powder, some dried fruit for texture... have fun with it!
Or simply just eat a mono fruit meal. Whatever you find feels best :)

and you are so right to write it up there to eat a mono fruit meal as our body could only take 1 enzyme from one fruit. I start my day with a banana smoothie - just so I won't get too much fructose - otherwise our liver won't managed either.
Balance in eating is the key and everyone has their own body need to find that balance but for fruits, I'm a fruit buff it's sometimes hard to stop hahaha
I'm so with you there, love me some fruit! I love to mono fruit at least once a day, always love to start my day off with bananas - just eat them until I'm satisfied or blend them up into nice cream, smoothies, whatever works that day :)
