How to determine the ripeness of watermelon

Watermelon – sweet, diet berry. In our country they grow in the southern regions, average regions of Russia they are grown in greenhouses because of the fact that they are very thermophilic. Watermelons, despite the well-developed root system and drought resistance, require regular loosening of the soil and moderate watering. The fruits ripen at different times with a spread of 30-35 days.

Watermelons are grown mainly in Central Asia, in Ukraine and in southern Russia (Crimea, Caucasus). In the Northern latitudes watermelons are grown on the southern slopes, to avoid the cold from the North wind. The most suitable soils are fertile with a light mechanical composition of land on which grew legumes, grains, spicy culture.

At harvest the big problem is the determination of the ripeness of the fruit. The following rules will be useful not only in determining the ripeness of fruit in the garden, but the choice of watermelon at the store.

Therefore, after ripening watermelons they need to be stored in a clean warehouse with moderate humidity. To evaluate watermelon for nitrates and dyes in several ways:
