It’s hump day my friends! Want a little help getting over the hump?


You know how it is...we get to the middle of the week and feel a bit run down? Then how about a Super Hero Smoothie Bowl? Made with Blueberries, Pears, Avocado and the Super Hero of all…Spirulina!


Yes, Spirulina! I shared a bit with you about how healthy Spirulina can be when added to your daily diet. Feel free to check it out! Packed with calcium, niacin, Vitamin B and iron, all vitamins we need during the cold winter months! Some studies are showing Spirulina may help combat depression, anxiety, stress and even ADHD Studies are ongoing, there is much to learn about this superfood however this is certainly something to think about!


So how about a smoothie bowl?

A Bouncing Blueberry Smoothie Bowl


Now watch! Spriulina is not the only hero here today! Look at these healthy ingredients.

Today’s Smoothie

  • Avocado: Potassium! Even more than a banana. Great for runners! High fiber and heart healthy fats
  • Pear: Vitamin C, K and Potassium! High antioxidant and anti-inflammatory content
  • Blueberries: The King of antioxidants! High in vitamin C, K and helps reduce DNA damage.
  • Frozen Banana: High in Potassium and fiber
  • Spirulina
  • Coconut Yogurt
  • Coconut Milk

Garnish: Granola, Cranberry Compote


Blend everything in your favorite blender, adding more milk to reach your desired thickness. To the bowl, and garnish, yum!


This should put a little bounce in your step! A little smile on your face?

One of my co-workers was digging into a delicious pear today, now you've definitely got me craving some! We finally ran through all of our apples from picking, so it's a good time to switch it up with some pears. Looks like a perfect way to get some energy to power through the rest of the week!

Yummy and beautiful! Perfect food for body and soul. We love spirulina and omg those blueberries look amazing. Miss them so much.
