Good morning steempunks. How are you all today? I slept in today. I really needed a good sleep after a busy week in the bakery. We changed our closing days from Monday and Tuesday to Wednesday and Thursday.... this resulted in 7 days of non-stop work. We finally took our mobile tuk-tuk shop to the streets and though it's a lot more work, I had so much fun with it.

It feels good to be outside all day... yes even when it rains. I got a good cover and I am well protected from the tropical rains.

But let's not talk about work on my free day right. After I finish this yummy drink it's time to go to the market, relax a bit and have some fun in the kitchen. Sounds like a perfect plan to me. Might go to the beach or visit some friends up on the mountain. But first things first.... smoothie time.

Since we didn't have much left in the fridge this morning's smoothie had mainly bananas and cinnamon. Just love this combo...

HEMPY CINNAMON BANANA MORNING POWER

INGREDIENTS (SERVES 2)


  • 3 cups banana (in my case, homegrown)
  • Ground cinnamon to taste (I used a lot as I love the taste)
  • 2 cups bok choy
  • 2 cups almond milk
  • 2 tbsp hemp seeds

DIRECTIONS


  1. Blend almond milk and bok choy until smooth. Add all other ingredients and blend again. If you have a high-speed blender you can throw everything in at once. Add more almond milk or water if the smoothie is too thick for you.
  2. Optional: Supercharge your smoothie with superfoods such as hemp hearts, chia seeds or goji berries. I used goji berries and chia seeds for this one.
