Families are starting to flock together in the Western world in preparation for special times at Christmas; Moms and Grandmas busy in the kitchen preparing all kinds of family favourite treats, not forgetting their secret stash of special Brandy to keep the Christmas cake well sozzled!

We have been showing you how to make gifts that come straight from the heart, made in your own kitchen.
No meaningless mass-produced expensive gifts this year as many countries are going through hardships as many of our Steemians have been telling us; these gifts will save you more than just a penny or two!

These two desserts, @lizelle, with which you close your Christmas series, are very appetizing. The first one would be difficult to make at the moment in our country (Venezuela) because the nuts (and even the nutmeg) are almost prohibitive because of their prices, or simply not available; I ate it once, and it's a pleasure. The second dessert, oatmeal, is more accessible. I have tried it in a less elaborate way, and it is very tasty; more with your exquisite recipe.
Thank you for sharing these delights during this time. I also wish you much happiness. Merry Christmas!

Thank you for your kind words and wonderful wishes! The shortbread usually is made without nuts, I just added it as a little luxury.
My heart really goes out to you and the people of your country!
Wishing you and yours a blessed Christmas.

All very delicious! Visually beautiful. I love these little gift ideas. In Venezuela we make to celebrate Christmas and to share a Christmas dinner with plenty of food, especially a cornmeal cake with meat filling called "hallaca". It is filled with pork, chicken or beef, olives, prunes, capers, eggs, seasoned with oregano. It is a odorous and delicious delicacy. These "hallacas" can be shared with neighbors and friends. I love Christmas because it is shared, even if it is only a little bit, because if it is given with love, it is given a fortune. Thank you for these great ideas, @lizelle

Ah that sounds lovely @nancybriti! I've never heard of a dish like that, must be delicious. You're so right, giving something with love means a whole lot more than expensive gifts; in fact those are actually priceless not so! Thank you for always visiting here in the ADSactly kitchen:)

@lizelle, All these stuff is a sign of one thing and that is, times are about to turn Abundant and Delicious. Stay blessed.
