Please support this community initiative.

The Challenge:

At least 100 honest reps of your choice of exercise every day. No excuses. No bullsh*t. Just actions, positivity, and results. Only post AFTER your reps are done. Always support each other. Full guidelines and conditions are below.

Daily exercise idea (not a requirement for the challenge) - Kettlebell Circles/Orbits

  • Targets core and grip.
  • Improves coordination.
  • Do your own research to confirm the mechanics.

*BONUS TIP - never do this:

Daily Update:

  • 19 Steemians contributed 7,711 daily reps (new max reps).
  • Welcome @manolisthan from the UK with his first reps from swimming.
  • Congrats to @mgood AND @faizan07 for crossing over 20,000 reps for 1 more SBD each.
  • Thanks for your support.

Overall Summary:

  • 372,355 overall by 47 Steemians from 12 countries in 122 workout days.
  • I can only upvote so much without exhausting my voting power daily, so please help me reward their effort.

Challenge Overview:

  • You choose what types of exercise reps to do.
  • 30 minutes of fitness walking, running, spinning, biking, cross-country skiing, etc., can count as 100 reps if you need to rest or can't use weights.
  • I'll award 1 SBD for every 10,000 rep milestone. (18 SBD paid out)
  • I run the numbers daily which is sometimes harder than my reps.

Conditions:

  • Weights not required.
  • Do real reps with good form, aiming for 100+.
  • Start your reply with "Challenge Completed".
  • Reply with a list of the exercises and reps you did.
  • Cumulative tallies are appreciated as a separate line.
  • Only submit reps you've done, not ones you're planning to do.
  • Use the tag "fitnesschallenge" on associated posts.
  • Upvoting or resteeming is appreciated to reach more.
  • Try to upvote as many contributors as possible to motive each other.

Advice:

  • Stretch before and after.
  • Breathe properly on each rep.
  • Quality over quantity.
  • Eat a healthy snack after/stay hydrated.
  • Start with exercises you enjoy to build up for harder ones.
  • Take before pictures to appreciate results over time.
  • Feel good about your accomplishments.

My Daily Challenge Completed - 100 reps:

100 Full Russian Twists (10 pounds)

My Daily Assessment:

My grip, forearms, and legs are still burned out from baseball yesterday, but my core feels great. Stuck with more twists today to help the rest recouperate.

From @musclegirlfusion:

"Since I started posting in this challenge, you've given me a reason to blog on steemit. No matter how discouraged I get when it seems like no one is reading what I write, I know I can write it and post it here and it adds to the challenge. So thank you for giving me the motivation I need to stick with blogging!!"

From @bitfiend:

"After starting 6 days ago I already feel stronger. This is definitely the most consistent exercise I've done in an extremely long time but I am happy to be taking part! While I walk around mostly in pain, I know it's all for a good cause! My health! I am feeling better and I'd say my sickness is mostly gone now. I think that if I had not been exercising, I may have been sick for a bit longer. Persistence pays off!"

From @mightpossibly:

"I find it deeply satisfying to do these reps, which is a big deal. I've always hated the gym and prefer to exercise at home. But I've lacked the discipline to do it. It sort of feels like I have gym buddies now, without the hassle of going to the gym."

From @notorious562:

"I seriously cannot explain how much this group pushes and motivate me to keep working harder. I love this fitness community and the support and encouragement will help us achieve our goals."

From @khufu:

"Your challenge has helped immensely to keep me motivated lately. I've had a lot of... problems going on so your challenge has been a quantum of sanity in an insane world for me."

Please support our hard work and dedication and ask any questions in the comments below.

Please also resteem this new format/replace in your post links if you don't mind to try to get a fresh start on spreading the word on our challenge.

I realize that what our host pointed out in yesterday's post, is not a given for everybody. Here's my own, and possibly more stern phrasing:

If you participate in this challenge, at least upvote the daily post by @steemmatt, and make sure to support the other participants by upvoting them as well.

It's very selfish to just take and not give (especially when giving doesn't cost you anything).

A team should always support each other, and we are a team guys!

I love that you said this! I always upload and share this challenge with the world Matt has done such an awesome thing by creating this challenge. I do see a few people here just looking for upvotes.

So the Kettlebell has finally made the list.

Daily Challenge Completed - 100 reps:
100 Full Russian Twists (10 pounds)

Beasting it with these russian twist. I think I need to step up my game with some Russian twist as well!

Thanks. Every single one I do I'm visualizing more torque and power to my baseball swing. My bat is very strong this year and these new reps will make my swing even more violent.

Daily Challenge Completed - 355 reps
Physical
200 reps - Walking 30 minutes X 2; includes down and up elevation of 300 ft
5 reps - pranayama (yogic breathing exercises) 5 min X 2
50 reps - 1 hour of table tennis(ping pong) - I'm feeling to count this as exercise. I/we play hard enough to build up a sweat and it is definitely more exercise than just walking. And it is fun. :-) But if you feel it doesn't really count I will take it off.

Mental
100 reps = 1+ hours X 2 Transcendental Meditation and advanced TM-Sidhi (morning and evening)
(All reps from yesterday and night)

If it's solid exercise for you, we'll count it.

OK. I don't want to over tally my workouts. I don't lift the heavy weights like a lot of people here do. And meditation is very easy but a great exercise for the mind. I'll see how it goes.

Thanks for the 1 SBD for another 10,000 reps. I appreciate that....and it is why I don't want to over-evaluate what I am doing. I should "earn" it.

Daily Challenge Completed - 250 reps

25 pull ups
50 chin ups
50 one arm push ups
50 incline push ups
25 dips
50 squats

Body weight exercises with 14lb vest.

Ah.... this is incredible! I can't even imagine pulling these kinds of numbers... let alone with a weight vest.

He's been silently doing this for weeks and saying it's getting light.

Video requested to see if you're a World's Strong Man.

What're your MAX pull-ups with a 14lb vest? Great job :)!

This right here is totally awesome to have a weighted vest and do pull ups and push ups is insane. Kudos my friend.

361 today!!!!!! 261 training with my trainer leg day

And then did @notorious562 100 push up challenge

Damn I thought you did them in 1:16 at first and was going to faint. Awesome job!!

Haha!!! That would be intense!!! Maybe one day! For now, I will be speeding the video up!

That is so awesome congrats!!! Its actually 50 push ups a day challenge, but love that you took it into overdrive and killed 100. Nice work I'll update it on my post! Great job!!

Ha! I realized that when I went to use the hashtag in my blog post! Better to over achieve the first day so the second day will seem like a piece of cake!

Reverse push ups- 45
Toe to bar- 8
Knee to chest-40

My notes:
Had a great day. It was a very hot day in California and I still managed to push through with this workout. I intend to challenge myself to do at least 500 reps each day for the next month. Hopefully everything works out so I can push myself to another level. I would love to hear other people to share their fitness journeys as well.

Daily Challenge Complete - 222 reps. Between a bad day and a food coma, yesterday got skipped. I'm back though! I hope not to skip every other day. I'd feel like I let my new workout crew down. Mostly abs and legs today because my arms and neck are sore from my last workout.

Hey at least you can kill it tomorrow. Hope you get a great workout today!

No one let down, you're back and have the right attitude to keep rolling.
