6,198 Reps From 9 Steemians After 16 Days - The Steem Daily 100 Rep Fitness Challenge - 50 Push-ups & 50 Squats - Day 17
I have my All-Star baseball home run derby and game in a few hours, so I did one more rest day today to be fresh. I might also need to pitch, which will be a fun challenge. In a previous All-Star game two years ago, I pitched 2 scoreless innings as the winning pitcher against the league's best. That was a proud moment for me, especially as a knuckleballer.
I'm posting this for the platform for others to continue building on their reps. It's the least I can do to help them stay motivated and to push through their previous resistance.
Day 16: 220 reps from 2 Steemians who completed the challenge.
Let's grow this healthy community now by spreading the word and contributing some reps. This is for your health.
To people new, see the intro link below. We'll be opening up to other exercise types in due time. I'm trying to keep this simple for now to get everyone assembled and on the same page.
What's the challenge? 50 push-ups (modified if needed) and 50 air squats. See my video. If you want to do a different ratio or split, that's fine. Just reach 100 reps from these options and reply below with an affirmation, pic, link, or video. We're on the honor system.
If you can't do all of the push-ups, I know you can do squats for the rest. Get involved!

Everyone please support and encourage the team here. They're working hard to build a community the hard way. It's about the bigger picture.
Make sure you go 90 degrees with your elbows and legs, with your back straight, on each rep. Feel free to help others if they look like that can use some advice.
Again, this is just a baseline of activity for the day. This will be far from all I do on most days, and the same can go for you.
Markets and spirits may be down now, but our health should always be on the rise.
We don't always need an app and tokens for everything, or to worry about things we can't control.
Worry about what we can control. Let's put the human back into fitness here and you will see and feel the results.
Rep on,
@steemmatt
P.S. - Please use the fitnesschallenge tag if you can.
8-mile hike through Karura Forest in Nairobi yesterday. It's pretty close to my hotel, so it's my new hangout spot. My legs definitely felt it!
Time:4:04
Pushups:15-14-13-8
Air-Squats:25-25
still on vacation and still an reps :)
I had a bludge today, it was Father's day here so I slacked off and drank a few beers.
Time flies when I'm doing stuff ^_^
I need to retrain myself to check these daily. On Friday I didn't do reps but I went kayaking for about 2 hours. We went against the stream/upwind for about 2.5 miles and then paddled back. It was non-stop paddling both ways. I was focusing on maintaining a rythm without running out of stamina. It took a while to get a good rythm going as you're not supposed to bend your elbows when paddling but it was a good workout. I didn't feel sore, but labor day weekend laziness kicked in. I will have to do extra reps to make up for the lost days since I didn't do reps saturday, sunday or monday. The weekend slipped away quickly and I did not intend to skip 3 days.
