Fit@40 diary - Entry #5: "Many imagine, Few Execute"

Taking cues from the Champ

So I was scrolling through my Instagram this morning and came across a post by Heavyweight Champion Anthony Joshua. It a clip of him training with four simple words in the caption,

Many imagine, few execute

This hit the nail on the head for me.

I'm sure Joshua has to listen to a lot of people, who imagine what it is like to be in his shoes, who have words of advice and criticism. Armchair pundits that will never know what it is like to walk the walk.

Investing in execution

Parallels can be drawn with the the cryptocurrency space. Over the 4 years I've been involved, I've seen many a project that imagined, raising big money in the process.... let very few that have executed successfully. I'm always mindful of this before investing.

Resonating tone

Joshua words really resonated with me on a personal level though. This is because it sums up where I'm at, at the moment. I'm pushing the envelope of what I believe is possible... physically, mentally and spiritually. Embracing the risks that come with exiting my comfort zone.

Afterall I only get one life to live. I don't want to sit around "imagining" anything... I want to live it!

Well although i am not yet in the league of 40s but i am always a huge fan of things that can maintain my level of energy even at the age of 40. And work-out comes at the top of the list.
I was listening the interview of Famous Ex cricketer Imran Khan, in which anchor asked him a question
Anchor: How do you manage your fitness at the age of 64?
Imran Khan (replied) : I still go to gym and do workout for 45 minutes

This thing shows, workout is the actual key to remain fit and good looking. Thank you so much @nanzo-scoop for giving me positive energy to continue this thing i-e work out ;)

Great anecdote and so true.

In a 24 hour day, taking 30-45mins to workout and move our bodies in the way it was intended should not be too much. For me it's like revving up the engine, I have a lot more energy during periods when I workout compared to when I'm stuck in a malaise of unhealthy living.

I saw some of your puctures and you look even more than perfect with damn fitness. I am sure in your days you must had took 45 mints workout quite a little thing for you.

I pray to God for your perfect fitness because you are an inspiration to many.

Those words really resonate with me on a much more personal level. It's like he's speaking directly to me. I have lost a bit of focus on certain things in the past two months and today I was just thinking about putting my s* together. I'll stop typing here, just go back and start execution. It's little by little...

Exactly! That's how I've been feeling too.. It's time for action!! Having kids is another great motivator, it means setting that example for them 💯

So right about kids... being able to "do as I do" is far more important than any sage words of wisdom I can give.

It takes consistency to make change. Well done for keeping it up! Mate, I do not know HOW you do fasted cardio. Kills me. Total death.

I'm used to training fasted... to the point where I find it difficult to train in any other state. Once I've eaten I'm more inclined to roll over and go to sleep than go and workout!!

Yeah I hear that actually. Sometimes eating makes me a bit sluggish. I'm gonna try fasted cardio tomorrow. Let's see how it goes!

Embracing the risks that come with exiting my comfort zone.

A difficult habit to begin but once it becomes routine, accepting that there are many different futures before us and what priorities we make today will always come with risks, but we continue to march forward whether we execute daily or not. Fantastic inspiration to ask more of ourselves now for the sake of ourselves in the future, and the courage to prioritize that over the wants and needs of others until we have ensured our own well-being, so that people aren't getting lost in serving larger communities before our most immediate community.

Treadmills tend to end with shorter workouts than intended for me, but fortunately, it has been warming up again and I am ready to do some HIIT outdoors. Good read!

You are an inspiration! This part is my favorite "I'm pushing the envelope of what I believe is possible... physically, mentally and spiritually". There are millions of people that aren't willing to put in the work and you are not of them! I just love to hear when people are full of fire and ready to strive for greatness!

Personally it is what keeps me motivated too! Hearing about other's ability to push themselves to uncomfortable places makes me believe that I can do it too! :)

Keep on doing what you are doing! It will all pay off in a big way! :)

I like that... i would still want to keep fit till 80's in my own time.
While a few dream, a few others executes. These lines makes great sense to me pointing directly on crypto investment on a long term base.

Deep words...Joshua got a really thoughtful thoughts with this words...
I am sure he is set for the upcoming match pretty soon
The words is really applicable in cryptocurrency and what is obtainable today.
The more you look the lesser you see...Practical step is what is required

Joshua is an absolute beast. I'm not surprised he is so attentive to his diet and training regimen. That is only a small fraction of his workout routine. Boxers have to be in incredible shape to fight 12 rounds. I'm looking forward to seeing Joshua vs. Wilder.
