Reading some of the comments to the authors' entries solidifies my belief that we've some of the most caring and thoughtful people on the blockchain in our group! 💜
Let's all congratulate @Jadams2k18 for receiving a well-deserved vote from the Curie Community on his story!!

- GRAND PRIZE - 10 STEEM & 500 SNAX tokens: @Agmoore
Agmoore's phenomenal piece is a dark offering of delight. La Sentinelle, a powerful sentience, has its own decisions regarding Hugo's fate. Incorporating incredible detail, Agmoore gives such depth to the lighthouse's character that you'll feel as though you are right there with the keeper. Cast aside your hopes for a happy ending but not the urge to read this terrific entry.
- SECOND PRIZE - 6 STEEM & 200 SNAX tokens: @Gaby-Crb
Do you love mecha anime, stories of automatons, or sea monsters? Then get ready to get your action on with Gaby's battle royale! Her story offers flowing momentum while balancing tension upon the steel edge of La Sentinelle's sword. Fantastic pacing, awesome creativity, and an ending that will have you rooting for more. Read for yourself to learn why nobody should dare mess with Hugo's protector.
- THIRD PRIZE - 4 STEEM & 200 SNAX tokens: @Jadams2k18
Jadams hits home with a thought provoking reunion with Hugo's long deceased friend. In the lighthouse keeper's desperate hour, he's given comfort and guidance when he needs it the most. Important details about Hugo's past are revealed, tough questions are asked, and in the end, hope prevails. Treat yourself to this piece. Trust me, you'll be happy that you did.
- POPULAR VOTE - Not achieved
Unfortunately, we did not receive enough votes (three were necessary) to unlock the popular vote category. I'll admit that I want to weep for this as I enjoy giving away the contents of our potassium treasure chest. But, a Bananafish's word is its bond so I'm unable to award the 10 SBI & 100 SNAX tokens. We were SO close! One more vote and these sweet rewards would have spilled forth! Let's crack this beauty open in our 54th Edition, dear tribe. Please remember to vote for your favorite story.
Now, that being said, I do want to express my appreciation to @Agmoore & @Calluna for casting their votes. So it is with gratitude to you both that I'll be personally purchasing you and those who you voted for (@Maparari and @jadams2k18 respectively) one SBI share each within the next week.

I'm floored by the generosity and the win. Certainly I will use 3 of my win to buy an SBI share for @brisby (who was the fountain from which so much creativity flowed this week), @maparari, and @bananafish. I don't want to be greedy in the midst of such good feeling.
Congratulations to @Gaby-Crb and @jadams2k18. Outstanding stories!
Right now I'm tied up in @calluna's contest. Hope everyone has an entry: an underground world. Think of what this tribe can do with that concept.

quam dicere vale:
... Or a comment prelude to my formal goodbye on my anniversary post...To all of the @bananafish, but especially to @dirge, @f3nix and @brisby:
Upon the great hour of my dastardly leave, like a bat flapping away from the cave, do I come back flapping amongst a group I do owe a good year of creating content here on Steemit.
Liken to the devil bar none, I admit most my works were a great folly and only that. I do pity that I hadn't put enough seriousness in a lot of them, yet I do admit that some I had created where created to the greatness of whatever appreciation I can give to my influences from everywhere in my life. Yet I do admit another shame, that I hadn't given a proper goodbye earlier nor had I properly kept in touch with people - yet this is not my final breath nor my last words. Of the people I wish to stay contacted with, you already have received a message from me on Discord and I wish to truly stay in contact with you.
Now fret not villeins! As I am more than happy to supply any prompt when you need me, but I will provide specificity to how I am to be titled and I will add my author's blurb all the time. Yet a goodbye is a goodbye and I shall make one more tomorrow!
Withal, I did wish that there'd been people to see and comment upon my last ever entry post for #finishthestory - in fact I had this wish for every entry I had made in the NANA ever. The rush and love to receive a comment and know what one's thoughts where! What a great delight it was to see for sure, yet a mere folly of mine that I shall give a serious suggestion. That suggestion being is to comment one amongst each other's posts, please for the sake of the social-communal health! Even just saying you had read it is more lovely than seeing a like for an inquisitive confusion and worry settles in! But maybe I am the mere lunatic, and I best be on my ways to celebrating the moon elsewhere in my fashions and rhythms.
I dunno what had happened since my leave, but I hope nothing serious ill had happened. And if so, that nothing dangerously critical has been lost! And yet, I don't know how to say goodbye...
With comradely love <3

@theironfelix: I highlighted one sentence when I read your piece, but wasn't sure I should address that. But I will now.
First of all, holistically, your piece employs acoustics dramatically and effectively. The visuals were also striking, but I think the acoustics always set your pieces apart.
The sentence that struck me:
Can I tell you the number of times in my life when I've objected to that pronoun? Not because I'm transgender, but because I refuse to be pigeon-holed by gender identification. And I don't get why the default gender is male. It used to be infuriating when I was young and had more energy (🙂). Now it's just objectionable. I think gender is individual and personal. Nobody should make assumptions about anybody else based on gender.
So there's the comment I held back. You asked for it :)
Whatever you do in your absence from Steemit, I wish you happiness and peace.
UwU ~ Thanks for reading and thanks for the compliments + analysis + not holding back now!!!!~
I love the acoustic immersion work, it’s one of the few things I barely saw on Steemit but a whole lot with the authors I cared to read. So I decided to rekindle the acoustic tradition, whether it picks up steam (pun intended) or not will matter to the future if people want better chances of winning by standing out and exploring paths untread.
Non-binary people are very real people, I do suggest looking into them because they have the same complaint ad you do. (Funny thing you mention Transgender, because Non-binary falls under the Trans Umbrella - but it’s a bit screwy the history and how trends/demographics are formulated.)
I want the future of gender to be completely irrelevant (qua non-political and only personal), but we have to fight in whatever way we can for such. As we both know gender is still mediated in a heteronormative way and still used for Patriarchal means, so we have a long ways away to deestablish the politics of gender as it stands today.
I wish there were more people like you and @brisby in this community :D
And to you as well!!!!~ <<<<3333!!!!~
:)
<3!~
I wish you didn't regret your stories for it is through them that we came to know you. The memories of fun had and adventures shared will carry on while you are away. And we'll raise our glasses when you return. Thank you, Felix!
I do not regret one bit any story, only that I wished to endow them with more respect than I had granted them!~ <3!~ And yet, we do remember the fun and the horrid memories we carried together in those days, but now we must forever protect in our collective consciousness. And whence I do return, whenever that be, I shall be having my glass up as well. Dziękuję, bananowi'rybko (Thank you, Bananafish)!!!!~ <<<<3333!!!!~
Also if you don't mind sharing this article, I would appreciate if all the @bananafish saw what I had to say to them in the 2nd anniversary post:

Thank you for the win. You gave is such a good prompt @brisby. :)
I feel bad for not voting now, but I like to read everything before casting a vote and I just ran out of time this week.
You're quite welcome, Gaby-crb! Thank you for your story!
Please don't feel bad. We understand how time can be pressing and appreciate that you give each of the participants such respect as to read all of the entries prior to voting. 🤗
Thank you very much for the opportunity and congratulations to all the winers!
