I like the 'sword in stone' style finish, speaks of a promise of there being a tomorrow for those that got away.

Thanks Gaby. That is exactly what I wanted for the ending... the feel of optimism for the rest of the tribe. I kind of wanted it to be 'a double edged sword'... Excuse the pun 😉, in that the two main characters bite the dust, but the tribe live to fight another day.
