Thanks @co-in and @theironfelix for nominating me. I am honoured ☺

you can always join in and curate stuff yourself too, gotta pass on the rewards to some of your friends too ;)

Cheers @space-pictures I will check out what's happening when I'm back home and have access to discord 😀

What I liked the most is when you adopted the Elves pov in the fourth paragraph. It added value to the final Armageddon to see once again their snobbish and contemptuous attitude. Yog Sothoth (another one taken from Lovecraft) won't surely pass for a gentle deity!

Cheers @f3nix. Yeah I enjoyed this one a lot. I felt strongly the juxtaposed (at least compared to traditional fantasy) roles of orcs as the downtrodden and elves as evil from @dirge's beginning. That paragraph you mentioned came spur of the moment as I was originally going to have the elves+humans as faceless monsters. Sort of leaving it ambiguous as to who was evil. But then I decided to get off the fence and pick a side 😂

Glad you enjoyed it m8

P.s. sry for the late response. I'm away from home with no access to steemit other than my phone and rubbish WiFi.

Much akin to a Witch-in-training summoning and possessing a dæmon, chaos embroiled and had its fun while it lasted. Upvot'd and resteem'd.

I love your GIFs @theironfelix

Thanks for the inspired art and your comment 🙂

UwU Welcome! UwU

Fuck yeah. That last line, though!

Yes... I'm so made up I got a fuck yeah from the writer of The Battle of Bloodneck Valley

Glad you digged the final lines. I wanted to get some high drama across 😀

Nothing was left of Bloodneck valley other than a tumult of stone and a great hammer thrust proud from the rubble, shining in the sun.

To summon some deities has a very high price to pay!

Ha ha... for sure, also I love a happy/sad/violent ending 😉

Shog did have it hard in this ending though, an earthquake then two cliffs landing his head 😂

A really great ending, I like the 'sword in stone' style finish, speaks of a promise of there being a tomorrow for those that got away.

Thanks Gaby. That is exactly what I wanted for the ending... the feel of optimism for the rest of the tribe. I kind of wanted it to be 'a double edged sword'... Excuse the pun 😉, in that the two main characters bite the dust, but the tribe live to fight another day.

I'm really happy that came across strongly.

P.s. sry for the late response. I'm away from home with no access to steemit other than my phone and rubbish WiFi.

Another good one, my friend. You should be looking for a publisher.

Cheers @blockurator that is an awesome compliment and I am very keen to push to the next level with my fantasy writing at some point soon.

P.s. so sry I haven't got the poem I wrote across to you yet & for the late response to this comment. I'm away from home with no access to steemit other than my phone and occasional and rubbish WiFi.

I'm back Sunday and will get a spoken and written version of an edited 1st draft of something I wrote before this impromptu trip to you Monday or Tuesday. I wanted to reassure you that I haven't forgotten + apologise for my half-assed-ness 😉

No problem. I had forgotten. :-)

Nice work. I hadn't heard of the finish this story contest, but it's a great idea.
