The dinner - Part nine

Celeste woke up feeling refreshed and full of life. She lay in bed thinking about what happened the night before and she could not believe how absolutely content she felt. She lifted her hand to look at her ring, and couldn't describe the feeling of love and support she felt the previous night.  

"Why did she even doubt Frank's support?" 

She laughed at herself for being so silly, and made a mental note to phone Fred later to tell him what had happened.  She felt so happy and just kept on looking at her ring, until Frank walked back into the room.  

"What time should I be here for dinner tonight? I want to go to the gym after work."  

"Oh crap...I forgot about dinner.  I'm so stressed about the whole thing....what are we going to tell them?

"They just need to find someone else. Unless you want to have three babies in a row?"

"Oh boy no...there's no chance of that. I just hope Cynthia understands...."

"Okay baby I'm off to work. You get some rest today and don't stress too much. I'm sure it will be okay." He kissed her on her forehead and closed the bedroom door when he walked out. 

Celeste lay in bed thinking about her friendship with Cynthia. She has never had such a good friend growing up and Cynthia felt more like a sister than a friend. She really felt awful about the case of events, and she knew how much Cynthia wanted a baby. How would she ever be able to make this up to her best friend?

She switched on the television and jumped through the channels to find something to take her mind of Cynthia.  She knew that whatever the outcome tonight, it was inevitable. 

Celeste watched a part of a documentary about chimpanzees in Tanzania, but ended up crying so much that she eventually had to stop watching. It was obvious that her hormones were acting up and she had to laugh at herself afterwards for being such an idiot. She phoned Frank and told him the good news, and he was just as happy as she was. He warned her again to take it slow and then hung up.  

She read a few posts on her Facebook page but that bored her after ten minutes. She was suddenly curious about the babies development and searched on YouTube for a video. She was amazed to see how these tiny babies developed weekly and she bookmarked the video to show to Frank later. She was obviously more excited about the babies and she still couldn't believe that she was going to be a mother and a wife. 

Then it struck her like lightning. She had no time to waste and lay here watching baby videos and documentaries about chimpanzees.... she had to start arranging their wedding before she looked like a hippopotamus from the fantasia movie.  

She searched online for a designer and phoned immediately.  She was able to get an appointment for the following week and was suddenly very excited.  

All she had to do now was to get past tonight, then all her stress would be gone and she could enjoy planning the wedding of the year with the help of her best friend Cynthia.
