Weekly Fiction Trail update (abridged)

This is the Tuesday, January 10, 2017 update of the Fiction-Trail, a subset of the SteemTrail discussion community and voting guild.

We help fiction writers on Steemit by reading, commenting and voting on their fiction. In that order.

Our goals are twofold:

1. Help writers by commenting on and encouraging their work in our growing community
2. Reward the best content with our upvotes, rather than just the most active post.

One of our curators will read a post listed under the Fiction tag, and recommend it to the Fiction-Trail, where it is read by at least one other member. If there are editing problems or other minor issues that need to be fixed to give it a better chance that SteemTrail will upvote it, those comments will be on the Fiction-Trail board and we will revote when the editing is done.

Your Stories

So far we have read, discussed and/or voted to promote more than 50 stories within the #fiction tag with 13 new ones promoted to SteemTrail this week. It's important to note that not all of the articles we promote recieve the SteemTrail vote. Those votes are a limited resource and we compete with many other trails. Quality is the only determinant that we can affect, so we strive for the best content at all times.

Earning the SteemTrail vote gives each story many more votes through Streemian. For my personal posts it can more than double my reward. More importantly, in my opinion, it means more people actually read all these stories. That's what I'm really here for...

To have your own stories read and discussed and possibly voted on, be sure to use the #fiction tag as your first tag when you write and edit your story, checking our guidelines if necessary.
