...............................occurred about 200 million years ago, or so it’s said. Oddly enough at the time mammals were predominate .They outnumbered the dinosaurs ancestors, the archosaurs.. They were conveniently exterminated in large part such that the archosaurs reigned supreme for 135 million years.

Nasty asteroids which triggered flood basalts and the resultant climate change are blamed for the subsequent die off. No mention is made of CO2.

That is correct. It happened exactly that way.

"I Think They Liked It." Sally said after she’d read the critiques of their joint paper. The two of them had collaborated to write the scholarly paper describing the what’s ,the wherefore’s, and the how’s of making their new material. The title of the paper had nice ring to it.

that when dealt with in a certain way
they go Boom.

Roy thought the title was a bit ‘over the top’ but Sally said.
“That’s nothing compared to what else I have to tell you.”

“Oh?” what might that be pray tell?” he asked.

“I’m pregnant” she told him. She put on a bold front, defiant even, but there was a tiny bit of doubt evident in her eyes. Perhaps a trace of fright.

“With twins” she said "I have to quit wrestling. In fact I already have.”

“Mom and Dad will be so happy.” Roy told her. "Will you marry me?”

Any trace of doubt that she might have had evaporated like the morning dew under the rising sun. She immediately began to disrobe.

“The doc said that we’re gonna have to stop making love before the baby is born. Nothing other than Oral Sex I mean.” She said.

“Well I guess we better not waste any of the available time prior to the cutoff date.” Roy said. She was already naked, she she’d only been wearing a tube dress, and was eagerly, perhaps franticly, helping him undress.
