Chapter 76:WHAM!

Shaniqua was startled by the door of her newspaper building crashing open and a swat team rushing in.

“POLICE! FREEZE” one of the screamed.

Everyone did, except for her. She walked up to what appeared to be the Officer in charge.

“That was totally uncalled for and very rude.” she scolded while eyeing him disdainfully as if he was something nasty on her shoe.

“We’re looking for Shaniqua Smith” The big cop looked down at her and said. She was a little bitty thing.

“That would be me. Is there something I can do for you boys? Do you need your diapers changed? Day care is down the street.”

The newspaper staff laughed. That did not set well with the cops.

“You’re coming with us.” He said.

“Is this a date?” Shaniqua said "You could have called first. Where is the wine and Roses?”

“Would you have been more co-operative?” He asked.

“No.” she said.

“I didn’t think so. Take her boys”. Two big huskies took her by each elbow, picked her up and carried her out the front door. He feet were dangling a foot from the floor. She considered kicking them but decided against it. She later regretted that decision.

“Go back to what you were doing” the cop told the newspaper staff. "This is police business.”

Then the Swat Team exited the way they had come..
