“Q”
Chapter 113:“I think I’m going to start an old,

"................family tradition."Shaniqua told me one day.”
“What might that be?” I asked.
“I’m not going to show my face in public again. In fact no one but my family or immediate kin should ever see it.” she said.
“Why is that?” I asked.
“I find it to be strangely empowering” Shaniqua said " No one can see the real me. I’m hidden, and thus protected, from everyone except for you.”
“But I can’t see your face.” I said.
“I’ve been waiting for you to say something like that.” Shaniqua said and she removed the veil.
This time MY mouth fell open. She was knock-down drag-out killer gorgeous. No trace of the damage to her face remained.
“I take it the drool means you like the way I look?” Shaniqua smiled radiantly. "I’m so glad. Jenny and I worked long and hard on this face.”
“I told you there was nothing to be concerned about M’lady” Jenny said. Jenny was, once again, on call 24/7. We had privacy only when Jenny deemed that we required it. Most times not, that is. Oh well, she was literally part of us. Might as well expect privacy from your arm...or your earlobe.
“Some people don’t let one hand know what the other is doing” Kitty said. She can be a smartass sometimes
then she was gone. .
Shaniqua and I were used to her ways by now.
“Oh yessss.” I slobbered. "You were pretty before you were beat up. Now...now...words fail me. I particularly like the epicanthic folds and the high cheekbones.”
“Didn’t I tell you M’lady?” Jenny all but crowed. "Biometrics never lie.”
“I agree totally” I said.
“About what?” Shaniqua inquired with a twinkle in her eye.
“About the veil. I don’t want to share you with anyone.” I said.
“With some exceptions I assume sir?” Jenny asked.
“Well yeah.” I replied. "you know what I mean.”
“Of course we do.” Shaniqua said. "You like my new old family tradition?”
“I certainly do. We just don’t have a family yet.” I said. " you mean?”
“Not yet.” Shaniqua said with downcast eyes. "I’m not ready yet. Soon I pray. When I am you’ll be the third to know.”
“Third?” I asked. "should I be hurt?”
“No dear” Shaniqua replied. "I’ll be the first to know, other than the goddess perhaps.”
“No sparrow shall fall.’ Kitty said.
and she was gone.
..we waited...nothing else. She hadn’t even bothered to materialize an Avatar...only voice mail.
Shaniqua continued. "Jenny will instantly know immediately after I do.”
I nodded. "And what Jenny knows, by definition, I know too. She’s part of me, as are you.”
“That would be correct sir.” Jenny said.

I'm
@everittdmickey
.
I write
SPECULATIVE FICTION
I have other books on Amazon.
Sometimes I also comment on the news
Sometimes it's hard to tell fiction from the news.
I always find that male insecurity of not wanting others to see their woman, a little............( I will have to invent a word, as one doesn't exist for my feeling)....yucky, sad, negative, dark, - any word come to mind?
(I'm getting some power back, so i'll upvote laters...)
depends on the woman?
the two that I've married (sequentially, the first one died)
are good 'backup' in a fight. I knock em down..they'd stomp em in the throat...(if it came to that)
insecurity isn't the word I'd use...more like "damn I'm glad they are on MY side"
are you, like, the main guy in the punisher? lol
I've watched 5 episodes - (bang goes my theory of one hour a night)
It's interesting...but not surprising though - I'm sure this stuff really goes on...
no such thing.
I'm a pacifists....if they let me be.
I dunno how many episodes I've watched.
I usually make a drink (two beers, two double shots of whisky.) in my big mug...then watch it till I drink it all up.
then to bed..
a very civilized way to get to sleep, sir !
Good :) convo @everittdmickey
