#9: Dreams.

Levi slept. He had pleasant dreams. That was unusual. Usually his dreams were anything but pleasant. Usually he had nightmares. He usually tried not to sleep. When he had to sleep he tried to be drunk first.
These were pleasant dreams. He dreamed of girls. It had been a long, long time since Levi had talked to a girl other than Sally. The last time had been anything BUT pleasant. That experience was one reason he had nightmares and drank a lot. It was one of the reasons that he was homeless.
He dreamed.
“Time to get up for a little bit Cowboy” she said in his dream.
Levi didn’t really wake up, but he got up. He was HUNGRY. What was that wonderful smell?
It was coming from the Magic Wand. He hobbled over to it. A big bowl of hot stew was beside it. He was ravenous. Levi ate the whole thing. Then he went back to sleep.
That might have happened many times. Levi wasn’t tracking time very well.
He dreamed pleasant dreams.
Finally, Levi woke up. He stayed awake this time.
