RE: Reborn: Chapter One (Seven weeks earlier)
The characters in this story came to life for me, I feel as if they are out there, as real as you and me. I'm so glad that it comes through! This story also had the great benefit of being reworked and rewritten that is not the case for the work of mine you've seen so far, haha! It's also the perfect time for me to be re-reading it since there has been enough time to give me a fresh perspective, I feel like I'm visiting people I adore and haven't seen in a long while, it's great!
This is not a short novel, just so you know what you're in for, it's well over four hundred pages, maybe more like 500, as is the book that follows. I'm about 200 pages into the first draft of the third book in the series...Oh! I have not come up with a series name so when the story really gets going keep that in mind and if you think of anything I am open to suggestions!
The hard work and effort really shows! The revisions really highlight your skill and potential. I get what you're saying in terms of revisiting, as I'm doing it myself. It's fun getting to be re-introduced to old characters, huh? It's like meeting them for the first time again.
500 pages?? Wow! My debut novel was about 150 pages, if I remember correctly. 500 pages.. now that's a labor of love! That's really something to be excited about, and definitely a series that could last you an entire years worth of posts. I'm sure that it will put @dreemit on the map as one of the premier writers in this platform :D
Without knowing the plot of the third one, hmm... Restoration? Haha! Had to take a shot!
Yes, I am definitely going with the Re theme for the book titles, and actually one of them probably could be Restoration! ;) But what I meant was a title for the whole series, like the lord of the rings is the series title and each book had its own title. I just can't land on a series title, haha!
I know, five hundred pages, it might be four hundred it's hard to say because some pages are filled with text, while others are broken up by conversation, but when I did a page comparison to novels similar to it, that's what I came up with...one of my friends read it in a few days, of course they said they were burning the midnight oil while they were doing it! Actually another one of my friends has read the books three times already and is getting very snotty with me about finishing the third one, LOL.
Hmm.. How about Remember or Rewind? Haha! I love coming up with titles almost as much as telling stories :D I'm a slow reader, so that's going to be a labor for me. Although, one that I would be happy to undertake.

I know, the craziest part is that instead of starting out my writing career simple, such as having two leads and a few side characters, I end up taking on a series with several dimensions and a big cast of characters-which is an enormous challenge. Keeping the voices of everyone involved unique is what I learned is most important. You'll see for yourself as you continue down this path, I expect one day you'll have a manuscript I'll be saying Wow about!
