Call for Authors

We are still asking for three sentence reviews as well as articles on Trails!
A new opportunity, is to write a short humorous subheading for the Main title of this page.
We are starting to get some readership, so you might get some followers if your name is seen more widely.

And, of course, the help is appreciated.

  • Three Sentence Editorial concerning the above review

The Fiction Trail is being overwhelmed by great stories which are posted along with some not so great stories, which also need to be read and evaluated. Most of them, like the one above, seem to be posted right after I get off for the night and long after the other two curators are in bed. We need maybe two or three more curators, who are willing to read and post at least one hour during the hours of 22:00 and 06:00 GMT, perhaps a few times a week.

  • How you can help if you can't curate.

We have a robot that searches for keywords and brings those posts to our attention. We get maybe 30-40 of them a day, out of which we must read at least 20 and promote maybe four. This leaves us very little time for encouraging authors and discussing fiction. It's crazy, since that's what we got into this for - to build a community of discussion among authors.

I know few people can make a committment to sit at a task like curation every day for at least an hour, even with the incentive of the increased exposure and the reward of Trail coin.

But when you come by the Fiction-Trail discussion group on SteemTrail, or if you see an author you read get nominated here, in the Steemit comments we leave, stop by and mention them in the chat, let them know you are reading both on their post at Steemit, and here. If we can get authors to post their work here, because you mentioned them, we can find them more easily - and when you comment on it, you are building the community I had hoped for.

  • We are trying to encourage great content creation on Steemit
by building a community of fiction writers.
    On the Fiction-Trail Discussion Group,
    writers can meet other writers,
    get feedback on their work,
and help others improve their skills.

Please join us for discussion and lots of great stories under the #fiction tag.
