Fast Food Friday- "Quesadillas" homemade

in #fff5 years ago

Way back in late '07 or early '08, my niece Cindy K gave me this
'George Foreman™ "Quesadilla" maker.
IMG_20191115_143308.jpg
I have today, for the first time taken it out of the box and used it.
Not 𝑄𝑈𝐼𝑇𝐸 what I thought it would be, but not bad.
IMG_20191115_142742.jpg
I overloaded it a bit, got it a bit more spicy than I should have.
I thought the edges of each triangle would seal more, making it like a 'hot pocket', but so far, they are delicious
IMG_20191115_142755.jpg
I had bought some grated "Mexican Style cheese" but otherwise
I had some bell peppers that were going bad, some leftover
Salsa, raw onion, and today I bought some pickled
Jalapenõ rings . I should have left those off. I mean... I like my
Hot Latino foods, but these have my head sweating and
Ears ringing ha ha.

Does it means you let that quesadillas maker work by itself and you just wait for a healthy delicous quesadillas pop up😉 im kidding.. it must be neat.. do we need any avocados in quesadillas?

The instruction booklet came with 4 (I think, no more than that) recipes, and I believe one of them included guac, but that wouldn't be my choice, not
Heated. I will have to experiment; I got too much filling in this first
Attempt.
Perhaps I could just put cheese and pico de gallo inside, then
Guacamole and/or salsa on top as a dressing/garnish?

Thanks for reading and commenting @cicisaja

Actually I never eat or cook quesadillas myself... but I read abd learn about it from the kitchen cooking kinda online games in the past 😉 once you experienced the best taste of it... you'll get better on the next try... try it then, the cheese and the pico..you don't have to follow all written in recipes because you know what your tongue wants

Great post @jerrytsuseer, wish I had one of those grills, those quesadillas look good enough to eat. hehe

I had two left over, ate one this afternoon, so I still have one to go.
This is going to be a great way to make "long term snacks" that
I can eat easily, without reheating even, several days later.

Thanks for all your support @farm-mom. I really do

𝕬𝖕𝖕𝖗𝖊𝖈𝖎𝖆𝖙𝖊 𝖎𝖙!

Those pickled jalapenos can sneak up on ya! We pickled some hot peppers from the garden this year and oh boy, I can hardly eat them they are so spicy! Happy Friday Jerry!

I ate some home made pickled jalapenos, they were really small peppers and really REALLY hot, and was drunk. My tongue actually started bleeding.
Thanks for coming by @plantstoplanks, sorry I haven't been
Posting or coming around a much lately

Ouch! Coincidentally my boyfriend cooked dinner last night and it was almost too spicy for me to eat, haha. I've been a bit hit or miss on here lately, as well, so sometimes we just have to do what we can. :)

It was an "interesting" morning ha ha ha

One of the first things I cooked after getting here to this apartment, was a big pot of vegetable beef stew, several containers of which went into the freezer.
I took one out and had about half of it a little while ago, to
Sort of apologize to my insides for that assault yesterday

So nice to see you again, @jerrytsuseer! Looks like that 11 or 12 old gift works just fine. Wasn’t George still fighting back then? 😉

Thanks for throwing down with us, sir, good luck with this contender—round 69 wouldn’t be the same without you.

G'morning @dandays, good to be seen by you again.
To be honest, I was unaware that there was a
"Throwdown" but of course I will welcome
Any support should I win something.
Foreman? I don't know anything
About his fighting career, I know
He was a fighter though.
I'm curious about something. I see
People say "have a beer" (with an ! in front)
Is that a new flavor of crypto? What the heck
Does one do with that? To me this explosion of
Currencies is silly, I thought Steemit was about STEEM
And all these Dapps (like where I am right now on Creativecoin)
Were just offshoots of that parent currency. Help a
Friend understand please? If you can that is.

Thanks

If I could explain it clearly, I’d be all thumbs. The only thing I understand about i beer is, yes, it’s an active token that was made possible since SMT’s... and you know what, sir? I’m not 100% certain and I’m not comfortable explaining anything other than staking them at https://steemworld.org so I’m going to call @jlsplatts over here because he can explain it better than I can. They do hold value, though, and they are redeemable.

You’ve been absent for a little while, huh? Like all things blockchain, things seem to attempt to move at the speed of blockchain with a whole bunch of bugs and hiccups in between. We’re pioneering this thing @jerrytsuseer.

About the single ply TP on the other comment. I’m a 5-Square kinda guy and that’s double ply! Single ply—I wouldn’t touch that (literally) with anything less than 30 squares! Haha.

Better yet, I’d Probably just take a shower.

TMI, you ask? No way, Jerry, never. Go check out the comment I left on Plants’ contender, she’s probably thinking “TMI” for sure. She actually responded all around the subject but not “it.”

I miss your long responses. 👍🏿

They Beer tokens are exchangeable on Steem-engine.com. Or once you have a 6-pack staked, you can give out 1 beer token a day. Plus the more beer tokens you have staked the more beer you can give out plus you get rewarded for staking. You can trade them for Steem if you would like also.

I've only clicked on the !beer thing once, went to that site and was instantly confused and
Overwhelmed. I suppose I shall have to contrive a way to get back there and see
How much I have and how to 'stake' it. Why do things have to be so complicated?
Thanks for the help, or an attempt at it 😊 @jlsplatts

let me see if I can find you a tutorial on Steem-engine tokens... hold up a minute....

I saw some stupid products over a year ago,
got photos too, of something
Innocuous with a "manly" name on it.

I DO keep some wet wipes for those "messier than usual" moments
TMI? Ha ha ha
