Eurasian hoopoe
Hello, my friends!
Bright, spectacular appearance of this bird cannot go unnoticed.
But I first saw it when I was about 40 y.o. :D I went with guided tour to the southern Ukraine, and when I it from the window of a bus I thought: - "Really? It can't be that bird from books and movies!"
Our local hoopoe is very very quick and shy. But I took this picture last year in Egypt. Obviously, it is a place there they feel quite safe and comfortable. And many, by the way.
