Sílvia is now 53 years old, Frederico is now 42 years old, they are a couple of doctors and they wanted to adopt a child.
Sílvia has 2 biological sons from previous marriages(1 doctor and other studying in medical school)
Now they have 1 biological children together.
Some years ago, they tried to adopt a child. They were consider not fit to adopt a child by the social workers based on 4 conversations they had with them in a year.
In the report was written that Sílvia had complexes of infertility(she has 2 biological sons and now a daughter) and that she was arrogant and antipathetic.(she has a lot of testimonials of colleagues, friend, etc that showed Sílvia was known exactly for being very friendly and kind)
They told in the report that Sílvia's mother was against the adoption(that was completely fake...they didn't even talk to her....she was just loving the idea)
They also wrote in the report that Sílvia's sons had not a proper education.(they didn't even talk to them)
After years and a lot of money spent in court(most people in similar situations just quit), the court concluded that "social workers made a report with wrong conclusions, based on prejudices" so they are now(years later) considered fit to adopt.(and they still want)

Frederico "Foster Institutions don't show a lot of interest in having quick adoption processes because they receive more money if they have more children institutionalized"
The adoption process was taking a lot of time(almost a year) and Sílvia and Frederico wrote a letter to the department that was handling the adoption saying that the legal times were not being respected and that the time the process was taking was not acceptable.
The day after they received the letter from the couple, they sent them a letter saying they were not fit to adopt, that they were arrogant, etc, etc(Of course it was a retaliation to the fact the parents didn't worship the social workers as gods( it seems they are used to it))

I found out that there is a lot of material on youtube about Portuguese parents in UK that don't speak well English , don't know the rules of the system and so, they are easy preys to the adoption business. I also found a lot of material about things done by the Portuguese CPS, that is becoming similar to the ones from anglo-saxon countries in what regards to wrongly removing children from families. The material is in Portuguese and I want to add English subtitles and that is a lot of work so please keep curating my videos to give me motivation to do that. In Portugal, medical college is a 6 years degree and you start it after you finish high school. Tuition fees are symbolical and your entrance is only based on the high school marks. You need a very high average mark to enter.
Many people with high average marks, although they didn't think about attending medical school, are pressed by their parents to attend it.
I didn't like medical school. It was not what I wanted so I had a profound depression and I left it.
I love to write, and although English is not my native language, I will try my best to offer you interesting articles.
