Mining Ethereum is it Profitable with POS

I hear that Ethereum Will adopt an exponential complexity for mining block in the blockchain from September 2017 to Mars 2018.
Is it true?

In our day I see the vision of the dicesion makers on the blockchain ignore more and more the proof of work and going towards the proof of stake one of them also is steem that adopt the delegation of the proof of stake Witnesses this transfer us to another pyramid scheme which is not beneficial for minnow on the world of cryptocurrency.

Now the only beneficial currency with proof of work are Monero and Zcash.
