Landscape/Seascape Contest Week #010 - White Schooner
This photo is my submission for week ten of @axeman's Landscape/Seascape photocontest, sponsored by @block-lotto and @drakos.

I have only seen a sailing ship of this size once... check it out, that's four masts! I'm not an expert on sailing ships but I imagine this would be called a schooner. (If you have a different idea please let me know!)

The small yellow/orange boat which is pulled up alongside is a pilot boat. It's there to put a Pilot onboard the ship who will then navigate safely through the Strait of Juan de Fuca.
In the background you can see the Olympic Mountains in Washington. So is this a landscape or a seascape? I don't know, but I think it's got a bit of both! Thanks very much for taking a look, and don't forget to click for a full-screen view.

Thank you! The mountains are great when you can see them clearly. Some days they're not visible at all, and other days they're crystal clear.

That would be fun to have I would love one like that but it would be kind of a waste as my wife is scared of going on Boats because of bad experiences she has had so I would never get her on it

It's a "laneascape!" :) No ideia about the boat's correct name, but the photo is pretty cool!
