Hove Promenade

Hove seafront begins at Hove Lawns and stretches right along to Hove Lagoon, near Portslade. This photograph taken from the lawns and looking across the prom to the sea was taken earlier in the year before the heatwave struck.

After a few months of almost ceaseless sunshine the lawns themselves are looking a bit yellow and the flowers in this picture have long since past.

The Victorian shelter, often used by visitors to rest and get out of the wind whilst walking along the 4 miles of sea front, is now providing some welcome shade in the heat of the day.
