EOS Is Getting Showered in Airdrops - 31 Projects and counting
I was one of the first few people to write about the Everipedia (IQ Token) airdrop and thanks to the high Alexa ranking to steemit.com I even saw my post getting to the first page of search results for some keywords. Then came the announcement for the eosDAC airdrop which is a block producer that is currently valued at $90,450,115 USD despite the ongoing bear market
EOS MainNet got launched and I was interested in seeing what kind of projects are airdropping on EOS (which is the #1 reason you should hold your EOS). I came across a lot of airdrops. it's going to take way too much time to talk about them individually. So I'll lead you to where you can look.

At the moment there are 31 airdrops registered on the site and the interesting part is that only one of them is funded by EOS VC which is allocating part of the several billion dollars they collected during the year long EOS ICO to onoard and develop world class DAPPs on EOS. Everipedia only got $30 million for them. Surely there is going to be more coming. Here is an infograph on a portion of what is about to be released. It's a little old and there is probably more project ready to be released at the moment.
For some airdrops you could be already too late. Some aridrops require you to register which can be annoying. But in some cases you could simply keep your EOS on an exchange and they will take care of getting you your tokens.

Seems like yesterday when Everipedia announced that they were airdropping. I'm definitely a hodler of EOS and really believe in the project. The governance aspects and the recognition that the purpose of technology is to benefit human interaction are what excite me the most.

EOS, Komodo and Enigma are 3 projects that I'm really interested in. The last two are privacy focused and I think they will be the real competition to radically transparent EOS as it excels other projects when it comes to scaling. Also check out Elastos which is a really amazing project.

Read it on medium and totally lost the faith in the project. It's a joke. They haven't even researched about EOS properly (from what I read on their blog). It's their loss and maybe they'll be fine. NEO is working on scaling and blockcahins still don't have a huge user base. but I won't invest in the project.
I didn't realise it was NEO based! Damn I love NEO...
How much Eos do you need to join to airdrops?
It depends on the project. In most cases just having any amount of EOS on the date of the snapshot would be enough.

And...if a snapshop would be taken, would your actual amount of SP count even if you are delegating at the moment? Im always curious for those things.
You also get free tokens for voting. But you have to vote on their interface. They also use account based voting.
One thing i dont like about EOS is that 100 people are holding 70% of all Eos coins.
It makes it centralized which defeats the whole purpose.
