I **almost** sold my EOS yesterday

Registering EOS is not easy for US citizens. Or people that aren't particularly tech savvy.

I know. I know. I should have been registered as soon as I bought it in Binance months ago. But I didnt actually know what was going on. I just traded some airdrops for it because there was hype and buzz.

Enter @ashe-oro and his @libertyepodcast. His last few episodes have featured EOS devlopers and projects like Everipedia, a blockchain Wikipedia and EOSdac and @lukestokes. Following Luke is actually how I found out last week that I needed to register these things . Luke is a witness and an EOS Block Producer (their version of a witness) candidate. Look into him. Solid dude.

I resteemed his post and shared it with everyone I could via facebook and the trollbox.

Thanks to the US government (not sure who exactly, though I now want to fist fight them), it was a MASSIVE pain in the ass to get my money registered. I used Opera via their onboard VPN because I wasn't granted permission by my overlords to register and manage my own funds.

Well...

Nanner-nanner-boo-boo, you cant stop the blockchain

Fuck those guys. We are gonna win.

Suffocate the state

It took a lot of frustration. I had a Steem post all written up listing the tokens for sale for SBD. I was ready to give up, but then I remembered that I needed some coffee. So I took a break and went and got some stuff done. I took some extra B vitamins and drank some coffee. When I got home, my mind was more clear.

Then I got home, got it knocked out, and even contributed another 0.01 ETH to the ICO. super excited to be part of something. Thank you to all the devs out there that are making EOS happen, and those that made available the services that made my participation possible.

Blockchain for life.

Stay relevant and keep fighting y'all

Nate

Registering in Exodus we easy-peezy!

Even for folks in the US? And you control your keys?

I ended up going with Opera/MetaMask through the VPN on Opera. I made it super difficult on myself probably. Once I had the right setup it was pretty simple.

Yes one click EOS registration with Exodus and you control the private keys.

It seems I screwed myself up then lol

I'll remember that next time. Y'all have convinced me to get Exodus and move that direction, thanks!

Yep exodus is a one click registration dude.

It seems I took the hard path. Maybe time to get Exodus. Is it Dex/os?

It is multi platform BUT can only be run on a single device, no mobile app right now either but that is in the works.

Exodus.io

Also, @aclarkuk82 you're saying that if I open the account from my phone, I will only have access from that device?

Hey @burntoblog

Yeah right now their backend infrastructure only supports access from a single device (updates in the works) and it is a desktop application only so no web or mobile client yet.

I'll set it up and play with it at home.

Thanks for the info. Having just recently delved into the crypto world, Lord knows I need all the help I can get.

If it's on an exchange that supports the swap then there is nothing to register right?

I couldn't say.
