I ended up going with Opera/MetaMask through the VPN on Opera. I made it super difficult on myself probably. Once I had the right setup it was pretty simple.
Yes one click EOS registration with Exodus and you control the private keys.
It seems I screwed myself up then lol
I'll remember that next time. Y'all have convinced me to get Exodus and move that direction, thanks!
