Do you really need to be an entrepreneur?

Entrepreneurship is a hot topic right now.

Being an entrepreneur is like being a NFL player.

If you are a successful entrepreneur, you are the MVP.

If you are a famous successful entrepreneur, you enter the hall of fame.

But the number of people in the hall of fame is very small.

Why is that?

3 main reasons:

1. It takes a lot of work.
2. It is extremely hard.
3. It is fucking hard.

Now, every time I take a look at Instagram or LinkedIn, in the bio of most people, I see: “Entrepreneur. Investor”

Sounds cool, right?

Buying $100 worth of Amazon shares doesn’t make you an investor.

Now, onto the entrepreneur title…

But when you’ve not actually jumped on the train of entrepreneurship by building a business, I’m sorry but you’re not an entrepreneur.

Selling shoutouts on Social Media doesn’t make you an entrepreneur.

Selling your B.S overpriced e-book doesn’t make you an entrepreneur.

That’s it. Period.

Now, why do most people do that?

Why do you want to be an entrepreneur so badly?

Being an entrepreneur is like being the captain of a ship. You have to choose the direction you are heading.

Not only that, you have to constantly reevaluate every decision you make at every second of your life, to make sure you are heading in the right direction.

This is hard. This is psychologically hard.

Now, after that, you still want to be an entrepreneur?

Why?

Maybe because you want to live a life on your own terms. To discover your full potential. To maximize your life. To leave a footprint for your children and grandchildren.

And maybe to show the world that anyone can do anything if they put your mind to it.

But…

Why do you want to live a life on your own terms? Why do you want to leave a footprint?

Can’t you live a simple/average life? Can you just be one of the crew members of the ship?

Why is that?

If it is the fear of being forgotten, or because you want status, why are you afraid of not being remembered for something worth it?

If it is something else…

Ask yourself why.

These questions are difficult to answer. It might take you days or even weeks to answer.

Because you need to go deep down inside yourself.

And you might discover something you won’t like.

You might have created smoke mirrors in front of some deep down feelings.

It is up to you if you want to discover the answers.

Because if you cannot clearly answer them…

Entrepreneurship is going to be a very long road that will leave you with nothing else but pain and unfullfilment.
