I’ve been working as a freelance audio-engineer for 3 years now and I love it! But becoming a freelancer and getting clients did not come easy. Here follows 5 helpful and easy to remember tips to broaden your knowledge, increase your sales and get satisfied customers.

Plan Ahead
Is your business strategy really plausible? Do you posses the skillset to help people with their problems? Firstly you have to ask yourself this. Rushing head first in to something usually ends up with failure or a trip to the hospital.
Don’t Quit Your Current Job
We have all been there, stuck at our boring jobs. But quitting is not the solution; Yet!
Starting a business or becoming a freelancer can and most will most likely be quite expensive. You will need a steady income to be able to start. Start your business by dipping your toes first, It’s foolish to quit your job first incase your dream is shattered by your economy.
Work Hard!
This comes as a no brainer, when starting a new journey to becoming a freelancer or starting your own business, you will have to put in the time and effort for it to lift off. Start waking up earlier and get going with your business before your ordinary work begins. Contact potential clients and set up meetings. Once your back home arrange potential meetings and keep contact with your previous customer, ask them if they know anyone else that are in the same need as they are.
Take Care of Your Customers
Most importantly is to make sure that your customers are feeling treated with respect and that your work is well done. Satisfied customer are in many cases repeat customers and will recommend you to their friends. This will help you climb the ladders to better paying gigs
Believe in Yourself
Lastly, the key to success is believing in what your doing. Don’t let anybody tell you that you won’t succeed, if you Plan Ahead, Work Hard and Take Care of Your Customers you will do great!

I have became a freelance couple years ago but fail so miserably such that i need to get a 9 to 5 job back and the reason is, first i quit my job too early not knowing what maybe ahead and second i did not establish a stable customer base so when they are gone, i dont have anyone to fill in the gap.
