See the work that you just did (and what are you doing) ... It causes a very rewarding feeling, which mixes with joy and a cocktail of feelings. It is admirable the great work that you are carrying out through the foundation, I am very happy with the truth.
For me it will always be a pride, a reason for joy and happiness, to find your post where you will be bringing love, hope and joy to those who need it most.
Congratulations from the most sincere of my heart, go ahead! ... As I have always said: you are leaving indelible marks.
And I know that I can not give you the monetary support that is so necessary to achieve these things, but believe me I will always be sending the best vibes and wishing you the best so that each of the ideas that you are piling up in that tower, come true one by one. @sircork
You giving US support is a silly notion buddy, you are on the ground in the worst of conditions and making a huge difference. It is OUR job to support YOU.
Pfft, try supporting 15 show hosts, a half dozen YAH agents... worthy posts, comments and causes... and just trying to enjoy the place on top of all that (not always easy, even on a good day!)
I'm not cut out to be in charge. I end up firing everyone. And I couldn't do what you do by myself. So I'll pretend to bitch and moan but really I appreciate what you're doing and I hope that's reflected in my activity around this platform. :)
I appreciate the help you and @sgt-dan and @battleaxe and @malos10 and @nnnaervaez and others do for YAH too. That's how I'm not "doing it by myself" really, even though no one but co-founder Reny (Malos10) really carries much of any kind of official title. Well Nathan (nnnaervaez) does, as Spanish Operations Manager, but he's more like a branch office of his own now, over in reveur server, and we work in parallel more or less, doing the same things in different languages these days...
Keep in going , Cork. Good stuff. From what I have seen you are doing a great job in helping people that need help.
Btw, recently I saw where some have made a Comment that they like to help people who help themselves or something to that extent. Insinuating that it is better than just to give a handout. Well, that's great as well. But unforutnately that is not always way the World works.
There are desperate people who just need the basics. And if that means getting it from Charities like @youarehope as "handouts"...then I think that is awesome. And we do not need to judge folks as people who do nothing more than expect handouts. I mean sh@t are we going to go to kids who have no clothing or shoes and say we do not give "handouts". And you have to help yourself.
Our co-founder Reny, is into Parkour at the instructor level. Parkour, the extreme city running sport, is philosophical and physical, and has tenants similar to martial arts and zen, like our now, YAH motto, "Be Strong, To Be Useful"
I learned that from my 19 year old Co-Founder @Malos10
The airline attendant will make it even more clear: "Put on your own oxygen mask before you help your neighbor with theirs"
So yes - this is what we do. We help people... with their oxygen masks. So they can help their neighbor someday in return.
The Papillon Foundation, a registered Non Profit in South Africa and also a "Top Rated NPO" in the USA are happy to vouch for the excellent work of @sircork and the YouAreHOPE Foundation. We wish you all of the very best with this effort and pray that it will be successful! Blessings!
Thank you for the kind words, it's hard for me to tell which mission might have ended up with you as a beneficiary in retrospect but I am happy to hear we were able to lend you some level of support!
Done Sir, please oblige me to use this link as tine goes ,to invite my friends to vote for you as witness, i made a study on wtinesses recently and am astounded at what you guys do, its an unimaginable feat, and you deserve accolades for it ( that's the least we can do to support).
I have a charity/foundation fraud piece in the works, (in mainstream charities) and the lack of transparency they exhibit, and the admin costs that suck up a lot of the donations. Donations that could be used where it was intended.
How does 'you are hope foundation' operate it's transparency audit, trail etc.?
Do you have set procedure, that kind of thing?
Are there any other charity set ups on here (steemit) you would recommend I chat to..?
It's a good question and a valid one. Most charities are far more interested in covering their overhead and administrative costs first, and using whatever is left for a small fraction of the good they could be doing. We are completely transparent via the @youarehope wallet on https://steemit.com/@youarehope/transfers and via the Transparent Town Hall show Fridays at 11 PM UTC on https://steemstar.net.
We live on a blockchain. Our wallet is open for the entire world to see. A blockchain is a transparent ledger. It's impossible not to be transparent on a blockchain, that's the entire point.
I don't have a lot of time to track other people's projects, but several maintain an outpost channel or their primary channel (if they don't have their own discord elsewhere) in our Coalition of Causes area, so you might want to check those out. But none of them operate in the same countries, and most of them are not even organized "organizations" to scrutinize. Just individuals or collectives working together to get stuff done. You can do that here: https://discord.gg/CjcYS6Q
In the USA, for federally regulated stuff, this is all done by watchdogs like charity navigator and / or federal law. None of that applies to any of what any of us are doing though.

That's limited thinking and just ridiculous, imho

Thank you very much for that highly qualified endorsement. I'm very proud of what we have accomplished given we are all a bunch of amateurs hahaha
