Stay out of my drawers Jingles!

After the many days of anticipation, Jingles finally made it into Lukes room. Since before Jingles arrived this year, all Luke kept saying was "I hope he goes in my room again". Well guess what was learned today? Be careful what you wish for.
Luke was sick yesterday and spent the night in bed with mom and dad. So when he awoke, he was excited to go looking for Jingles especially since he was on the second floor already. Luke scurried out of our room and when he came back in he had a huge grin on his face "You gotta see this. Jingles is so funny".

We got out of bed and followed Luke out into the hallway. He led us to his room and were shocked at what we found. It looks like Jingles took the opportunity of having an empty room. He pulled out Lukes underwear from his top drawer and spread them out across a clothesline. The line was spread between his top bunk and his desk. On the far left was Jingles himself, also hanging from the line by two clothespins.
I think this elf has been drinking too much eggnog this year. If he isn't careful he may end up on the naughty list himself.

In typical fashion Jingles also brought out a Christmas book for Luke to read today. It was the classic loving tale of "How the Grinch Stole Christmas". This is by far Luke's favourite Christmas book (and movie). He immediately sat down and we read it from front to back. I read all the Grinch parts in my best grinchy voice... only to be told by Luke that I dont sound like the Grinch.
I think the best part about the entire morning was when Luke was told he needed to put on a clean pair of underwear. He lauughed out loud when he realized the had to get them off of Jingles clothesline. The entire time Jingles just hung there with his sweet little glare.... oh what will you be up to tomorrow you sly little elf.

After reading your notes, I really like your team atmosphere and like how you promote members posts.
Will be doing more research tonight on you guys and planning on becoming an active member.

Haha these pots about Jingles always make me crack up ! I think indeed he has been sipping on the eggnog! But who can blame him, it's a nice Xmas buzz

I needed some eggnog after Luke had to take his underwear off of the line. It was hilarious.

you pretty creative man, lots of good ideas

Haha! Oh man, I just got caught up on Jingle's misadventures, and I have to say, he gets into quite a lot of mischief for an elf. When I become a parent, I would be totally on this! I once made a 4-year old believe that Totoro was alive and was her best friend for years haha! Man, making children believe in magic is a wonderful thing, isn't it? Some argue that we're making them look like fools, but really I feel like we're ingraining in them that anything is possible once you set your mind to it. I'm sure Luke would be super grateful to you for this experience when he grows older. It's gonna be a fun walk down memory lane for sure!

Every year before Jingles comes back, we look through all the pictures from previous years.
The joy on his face some morning is worth the risk that he may look like a fool for a day or two in the end...

Haha! I hope you can stretch it for as long as you could, man! Lord knows that when puberty hits, there's going to be a stretch of time where the young guy won't be the same.

Very creative elf!

I have been saving this one for a couple years until Luke was a bit older.
He is at a great age and we are having a blast with Jingles this year.
Jingles brings a new Christmas book to read every night as well.

That's a good one!! Our Elf took the stockings down and hung up Caleb's clothes by the fire in place of them. LOL
