Deck the halls Jingles
Looks like Jingles was rather busy last night. I do not know how none of us woke up during all the commotion. He somehow was able to get a string of lights hung up on my routed tree that is hung on the wall on the staircase. You can see the tree behind him in an earlier post HERE.
Not only did he hang a string of lights but he also stole some of the Christmas balls off of our Christmas tree and hung them up there as well!
Now I must admit that it does look rather good, so I guess I shouldn't get too mad at the little guy.

At first Luke thought that I had decorated the tree. Then he took a closer look and found this little guy hiding up on one of the branches looking rather pleased with himself.
We were in the Christmas spirit today thanks to all of the new decorations. Lukes teacher sent home some costume requirements for his upcoming Christmas recital. He was told to wear a red Christmas hat, a red shirt and a red pair of pants. Like every 6 year old boy owns a pair of red pants, right? Hopefully we can find him a pair of red jogging pants or something to wear. I asked him what a red Christmas hat was. He responded "you know, like Santa".
I dug out my Santa outfit that I wear to hand out presents on Christmas eve and Luke wanted to wear the entire thing. He especially wanted to try out the beard.
It made for some great laughs and memories.
We even got out a few of his Build a Bears and pretended that they were children who wanted to sit on Santas lap and tell him what they wanted for Christmas. I am not sure what was funnier, my child like voice or Lukes deep Santa impression.

Oh Jingles, you are succeeding in bringing on that Christmas cheer.

cool decorations he did
Luke looks cute as Santa :)
have a great day
Thanks, he is only 6 years old.... so the beard is pretty impressive.
LOL I’m approaching 60 and my beard is no where as good as that LOL
At least Jingles is pulling his weight, right? It's the least he could do since he doesn't seem to be paying rent with rainbows and hugs. Cute little Santa though! The costume looks better on your son than on the elf haha!
Ha ha, I never even thought of him wearing the same outfit as Jingles.
I better let that elf know that rent is due!
Go on, hurry! Before he skips town when Santa comes a knockin'
Haha I loved this one ! Thanks @dadview for sharing another awesome Jingles Christmas story with us ! 💕✌👍

Wow!! Jingles really out did himself last night. LOL I might refrain from showing this one to my son....I'm not sure if our elf can meet those expectations. LOL ;) Good luck on the red pants, I have no clue where you would find those for boys.
Yeah, and I ripped the ones that came with the Santa suit.... Maybe ate a few too many christmas cookies before putting it on!
Wohoho! This is so cool! Nice post!
Merry Christmas!
He has quite the talent in decorating. My son actually asked for a santa suit for christmas!
Man I need one of those to come decrate my house. And to do yard work.
