WHY DO PEOPLE HINDER HOMESCHOOLING: REASONS AND A REAL LIFE STORY
Homeschooling shows great results in many aspects: children who are educated at home demonstrate better knowledge, self-control, self-discipline an self-sufficiency. They don't suffer from lack of communication because they do have friends but just not at school. Moreover, these kids don't waste long 11 years for school programme because as the practice shows, almost all kids can cover it in 5-7 years!
In a short word, there are lots of advantages, and there is no sense to retell them again (I've wrtten many articles aboutit already). Nevertheless, there are many people wh are still against homeschool. WHY?

To my mind, the main reason is that people just don't like anything new. It can be 1000 times better but something new requires creating a new way of behavior and life, and it's always a problem because it needs efforts. It's better just to go with the flow and be sure you're right. That's why they have strong negative reaction on all advantages about homeschool they hear, they don't want to know about them and understand their way is wrong.
The biggest disappointment in a human's life is understanding that you were wrong.
And people protect themselves from this pain.
There are many reasons they have AGAINST homeschool:
- no socialization
- I am not a teacher, I can't teach
- what will my friends say?
- where will I find time?
- what if I fail
- my kids should be among other kids ....etc
In fact, these all reasons means just "I don't want to leave my comfort zone". It's easier to choose a school and just forget about education - it's a task of the school!
Though in a real life things are different (in Russia at least) - 90% parents study together with kids visiting schools, and they make hometasks together every day!
Teachers see nothing wrong in it, moreover, they say: "If you don't help and control your kid, he will not succed and get a bad mark".
Marks are the most important both for kids and parents! Not knowledge! But marks are just numbers (in Russia it's numbers), and a way to destroy your kid's confidence, that's it! But parents chase for them again and again even if it takes all their free evening time!
So, in fact they dublicate teachers, and in fact they are homeschoolers too, but a kid still goes to school. For what?
People just can't change their usual way of thinking and open their eyes on many new things and information. It concerns homeschooling, vaccination, medicine, Big Pharma, food, health, up-bringing and many other aspects.
It's always difficult to open our eyes for the new truth.
In Russia there are only about 10% of homeschooling kids, but from year to year more and more parents understand inferiority of public education and become teachers for their kids.
One of the problems is obstruction of the society and schools to families who have chosen homeschoolig. They start to judge, to criticize, to ignore, to claim and even to hinder!
I have known about a bright example of such obstruction for homeschooling that has taken place in my own city Kerch!
A family has chosen homeschooling, but they still can visit school for some lessons and the main - they can use textbooks and all educational materials of this public school. It's their right that is protected by the law!
Nevertheless, the principal rejected to give them books for education!
I must admit that it's a norm for my city (unfortunately) because it's a small conservative city, and everything new is considered to be strange and even hostile, people don't like people who differ in anything.
It's one of many cases. I face the same in the question of vaccination, but it's another topic...
But the mother of this boy appeared to be a wise woman who knew her rights and the law, and she made a claim to a prosecutor. And....The situation was immediately resolved!
The boy got all necessary educational materials from the school, and the principal received administrative punishment for abuse of official power.
Great! There is the law, there are human's rights, and noboy can hinder them, no matter it's a small city or a big one.
This case was described in mass-media, and I am sure that this woman has shown to all people that we can and must fight for our rights.
I am sure that homeschooling will overcome all these diffciculties, and will get great popularity very soon!

I totally agree with you. Your points are very much valid. I see no reason why most people won't agree with these points.
In my culture, such things are not even allowed as in we do not even think of it, but who would blame us? We are still undeveloped(3rd world country), but I understand all that you have said.
I wish your country men and people from the developed countries would see this. I'm sure they will have a rethink
