How long have you been selling these in Chiang Mai? I feel certain I was one of your customers when I lived there.
Thanks for sharing the packaging drama. Impossible to please everyone. The new bottle looks fab at least. Like they are more durable than the plastic ones.
Do you offer the chance to buy re-fills? So that people can buy the bottle just once?
8 years already, Sam. I didn't know you were ex-CNX!!! :) Yes - we have 500ml leakproof refill bottle coming out this week - Label is with the printer. :)
Good for you to do this! It is kind of sad and kind of hilarious that they come in plastic bags but nice that you already have some idea how to use those too. 💚
It is a head-banging feeling when the eco-packaging comes wrapped in foam or plastic. but necessary to have some sort of packing - scuffed damaged bottles don't sell & become the biggest waste of all. reusing & repurposing stuff is a constant creative challenge
BEst of luck with this! What a drama.. its only when you start down the commercial track that you start too see how much time you have to spend on crazy things.. just for the bottle! sounds like you got there in the end.. and the aluminium does look great.
my feedback if its at all interesting.. i MIGHT add some tiny text that says to keep it out the sunlight, dont leave it by a window in a car for example ..
also. i WONDER if using a UV light would meet the requirement to allow refills in a shop.. im guessing not after reading

In my 11th year of biz, Alex, and yes, your suggestion about adding the "keep out of direct sunlight" is a good one. I find that most of the eco-zealots with hard-line advice really are hobbyists who have no idea of commercial & legal constraints. eco-green biz on a commercial scale is not for sissies!! :)

I know personally how thorough and thoughtful you are and in this process it has been incredible watching you explore every angle possible in the effort to tick as many boxes as possible for customer satisfaction as well as those regulatory and honestly quite logical but tiresome hoops to jump through.
What more I love about this is a shining example of how blockchain transparency and accountability truly serves business owners and especially online entrepreneurs. It is this new world of attention and relationship marketing in my opinion it sets you and other aware and ethical fair trade businesses apart as more of the world seek to suppprt products that in alignement with their more conscious choices.
More over this also doubles as yet another great use case for Steem and the steemit platform as being a powerful product information archive to back link with your chosen website or Shopify store.

Not too many days I have NEEDED serious encouragement but today is one of them!! much gratitude for being "that guy" who lavishes public support when it is needed. blockchain transparency IS A HUGE GAME CHANGER for small eco-sustainable business. but it takes quite some courage to allow a transparent look at your biz, process & creation. Therein lies the magic... I have some good inputs already and am deeply encouraged. our tribe is not always who we think it is.
